Thanks for that review, Ruffinit. I've been wanting to try this mask, and you've convinced me to give it a go.

One question, though: What did you do to the Liberty headgear to make it work on this mask? Did you have to replace some parts? TIA

I guess I was lucky and got my first pick to work. The Mirage Liberty from ResMed. I also own a hHybrid that I have never used, but save for a back up.

I have used many different masks over many years of CPAP usage. My favorite is the Mirage Activa LT Nasal Mask, because it is very comfortable and leaks very little. Next after that is the Mirage SoftGel Nasal Mask which is not as comfortable and leaks more than the Mirage Activa LT, but is quieter and generally better overall than most other masks I have tried over the years.

As of today, here are my favorites:

ResMed Mirage Activa LT (nasal cushion)
ResMed Swift LT (nasal pillow)

I intend to try the ResMed Swift FX (nasal pillow) in the next couple of weeks. I'll post when I have an opinion about it.

Personally, I've found the Resmed Liberty https://www.cpap.com/productpage/mirage ... llows.html to be my favorite for a nasal pillow style mask. See my other post below, for more details on this mask.

As a backup full face mask, I prefer the Resmed Quattro https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... dgear.html

I like the ability to open my mouth if needed either consciously or while asleep, rather than "wiring" my jaw shut with tape or another head harness, more commonly called a "Chinstrap."

I removed only the fabric part of the Liberty straps. It has a couple plastic pieces that (on the Liberty mask) connect between the mask and the strap. Leave them off the Drive (ZZZ) mask and attach the straps directly to the mask. You will also need the quick connect snaps from the Drive (ZZZ) mask to attach the bottom straps. That's it, all there is to it. As anyone who's tried the Drive (ZZZ) mask will attest to, the original straps are terrible. Only took me one night to make the choice between my ears and a different strap.
One other thing I forgot to mention about the Drive (ZZZ) mask is that the way the swivel coupling for the hose attaches to the mask makes it a great deal easier to work with than the others. Because it's attached to the flexible part of the mask, you seem to not have the hose problems you have with most of the others.. The hose is still a pain mind you, but I have found that it is a non-event in this whole circus.

Ruff did you add a chin strap too? I was just wondering if it 'rides up' from chin.

Activa Nasal Mask. Get better results with it as well. Most comfortable for me.

Have tried them all, sure seemed like it. HEADREST by way far--results + comfort . OK sure it's noisy, but like the blue lights who cares when you're ASLEEP

I am a Respiratory Therapist and have been setting up CPAPs up for 10 years. I have tried about every mask on the market on several people and have gotten feedback on most of them (especially if it is bad).
Full Face: Quattro
Nasal: Activa LT
Pillows: Swift LT or FX

Is there a good FF mask for someone with nose bridge issues from nearly every FF mask tried, prominent nose but narrow bridge, and long and narrow face? Other than the Hybrid types?

I tried the Quattro, Full-life, Flexifit 431, Forma, Hybrid (Hybrid didn't hurt the bridge of my nose obviously, but I seemed to wake up more with it).

The company I work for gets good pricing for Respironics masks, but I have had much better luck with Resmed masks across the board.

Nope, no chin strap. The bottom edge of the mask slightly cups the bottom of your chin though.

Well, I like the Liberty but it is basically the same as a hybrid without the flap cupping under your chin. It is a large design, but is pretty comfortable at lower pressures.

I tried the FitLife on, but the sleep tech said it wasn't sealing well. Do you think the Ultra Mirage has anything to offer over what I've tried, including the Quattro, for my type of face?
