Hmmm - I would think one could rig up a piece of velcro on top to route the hose ??? I have the Aussie heated hose and have the short Activa (?) hose attached to that so I don't wear out the end of the heated hose and now have the FX hose attached to that one. It hasn't resulted in any rainout for me.

Unlike the LT the FX hose is super flexy and not stiff, which means it will not hold a curve easily. I would think that there is a chance that it might flop into your face if you tried to attach it to the top, plus the silicon strap is thin and generally worn loosely so you might mess up the fit with the drag from the wight of the house. If you then tried to tighten the hose to keep it from being so floppy, you might very easily put too much pressure on the nasal pillow and mess up the seal.

Just my opinion ...I considered trying this but am quite comfy with the hose hanging down after a week or so.

I love the FX and my partner hates it. It is the lightest and most comfortable mask I have ever used and the exhaust doesn't bother me at all. My partner hates the exhaust stream and hates the hissing sound when the exhaust hits a pillow or other bedding.

Thanks Mindy, with all these positive reviews on the FX I am tempted to try one.

I tried routing the Swift FX hose over my head by putting it *under* the silicone strap. It stayed nicely and didn't bump into my face. It just naturally created a nice curve. I think I still prefer the hose down but am happy to report that it works with no velcro

However, my caution to anyone considering the mask is the usual disclaimer that what works well for me may or may not work well for you!

I have both the Lt and FX swift masks, and I have hooked a piece of velcro loop cross ways under the silicone strap at the top and around the hose to "fasten" it in place over my head.

The hose is more flexible and heavier or so it seems than the lt which has the hook at the top of the mask to hold the more rigid hose.

The velcro works fairly well, holding the hose over my head, so it doesn't get in the way of moving from side to side to sleep.

I have also rigged some Command Hooks XL size over my bed, and attached rubber bands around the 6 foot hose, to suspend it over my head so that the hose does not interfere
with side sleeping or moving around while I try to re-position myself when sleeping.

this arrangement works the best for me, as I have tried to leave the hose dangle and I was getting tangled in the hose and cutting off my air. this way, with it suspended
over my head, it is out of the way, neatly.
