DD & Bob, I clearly have not been following this thread in its detail, and not currently shopping--but wonder if you feel that data available on the machine itself is sufficient for you to have decided to ignore the lack of software available for such an expensive cpap?

I have to wait until Wednesday until it ships as they are out of ClimateLine tubing.

I saw a video with Resmed talking heads. One of them said that the noise level for the S9 machine itself is the same as the S8 II (24dB), but they have reduced the noise which is transmitted through the hose to the mask.

+1 pretty please?
I'm up for one of these, but the software is the only dealbreaker.

Isn't the ResScan software the same as the software for the S8 Autoset II?

Rob,
I saw that one too - was wondering if they did something to stabilize turbulence - I know SWS has talked about this in the distant past.

And just in case Bill Bolton was too subtle - we can thank the US FDA and the American medical profession lobbyists for that. They consider Americans to be not as intelligent as those in other countries.

I have the Resmed ResScan version 3.10 for the S9 machine.
Whatever it takes
But i understand what you are saying. If i didn't have the software i would not be anywhere near this machine.

ResScan version 3.7 is for the S8 machines only. Version 3.10 will work with S8 and S9 machines.

Wish I knew a cheap, safe way to get newer software. Now that I use Windows 7, I cant get my ResScan 3.5 (which I had thought was 3.7) to work anymore for downloading my VPAP Auto data.

Check your PMs
ResScan 3.10 is documented as being Vista approved so it will be interesting to hear if it works on Windows 7.
