One more question, who was able to run Encorepro 2.2 on Win 7 ?
The only successful reports I have heard are people running it in XP mode, or people running a virtual machine with windows XP 32 bit and running it out of that.
Its not compatible with 64 bit operating systems. I think it mainly lies in the SQL database.

SQL Server 2008 Express fully supports 64-bit versions, even the "32-bit" version of Server 2008 Express supports Windows 7 (including 64-bits).
My guess is that it's related to the Encore software itself.

I wasnt very clear. You are right, there is SQL that supports 64 bit without a problem, but for some reason, the EP2.2 software doesnt like them.. Its looking for something very specific when its installing and if you have a 64 bit system, the installer has issues when it gets to the SQL portion of things. I'm sure there is some work around for this, but so far, no one has been able to get it to work on 64 bit.
I also realize that I'm no expert on the matter, and it may have nothing to do with the SQL stuff.. but it seems like thats where my problems were when I tried to do it on my 64 bit machine. I would love nothing more than to have someone figure it out, prove me wrong, and get it working on 64 bit machines. I am clinging on to a old computer just for this purpose alone.
