Ideally you want your AI to be 1.0 or less and your AHI to be 5.0 or less so you are doing good. Not too many of us do that good so soon!

I do not have pictures of the machine, I guess I can take a couple of pics and figure how to post them, but the site says you are not supposed to.
Now you can change the S9 settings but you are not supposed to, since your setting are determined by a highly schooled and paid clinician based on your sleep study.

This said the way to access the clinical menu is press and hold at the same time the big knob and the lower button (the one with the two checkmarks).
If you do not know what you are doing, leave it alone. You are on your own there.

To sassy9 welcome in one of the best support groups for people with OSA. Suggest you read a bit, understand better what your machine does to you and maybe get your software (now the RESMED software available does not support the S9 so we have to wait). Once you have a better picture of what happening at night you might want to discuss it with your clinician before messing with the settings.

Now that said, having anything below 5 is good. Below 1? Do not touch anything. What is the problem you are trying to solve?

Keep in mind that my pressure was 15 and I woke up in the morning completely bloated and I went on burping and farting for the hole day to inflate again at night.
My AHI was 2. My doctor agreed to lower the pressure to 13 and my AHI went up to 5 but my aerophagy problem went way down but did not solve completely.
After that I did UPPP (improved the situation but did not solve my OSA) and now with Autoset 5-10 EPR 3 I rarely have any problem with stomach air.

The most important thing in this business is adapt to therapy to ensure compliance.
I rarely miss any night and all I missed so far have been spent on a plane flying overnight.

I agree with Slinky and DragonFire. Your last two AHIs of .2 are excellent. Just as good as a zero, in my book.

Going only by the wonderfully low AHIs you're getting, sassy9, I think your therapy is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. I wouldn't think about changing it due to any difference so insignificant, if it were me.

The power brick was a necessity for this device. This unit uses more power due to the new features and the power supply had to be external because the device would become too hot. Also, to continue to make the cpap smaller the power supply has to be external just like laptops.

Laptops come with a battery.

I am holding off on getting the S9 Auto,what may convince me to get it over the S8II Auto is if the "power brick" eliminates the need of a "pure sine wave" inverter to us the HH when on battery power. If not I'll stick with the S8 II. I've got the software and if I can wiggle in one more I think I will have caught up with Den on hoarding of machines.

If anyone has the info on the inverter please advise.

Thanks for all the input guys! I won't touch a thing. Now my AHI is at .3. I have been sick with a cold and now the stomach flu- (ugh) Just for information, not that I'm worried now that you all gave me my feedback- but does the AHI tend to get higher with more times taking mask on and off or wakefulness? or illness? I know this has nothing to do with the S9, but would appreciate your wisdom.

Although I'm not sure thats the intended software as i can't see any option for the central apnea (CI) information in the graphs and reports.

The H4i tank is easily opened - 1 clip and the stainless plate comes off giving complete access. It's a very simple and robust design

The upside is, the farts don't stink, being room air. I tell my wife this, but she doesn't believe me.

Having farts that don't stink is really quite a distinction I would say. You can look down your nose at all the ordinary people with stinky farts.
