Barnaby, why the original sad face on the 61 years. I think it is a real mielstone.


Lori, I can beat the example. My father was married six times and my mother five times. I had a real interesting childhood. Though I am on my second marriage, it is now for 29 years. I would marry my wife again in a moment. She has had the patience of a saint for putting up with me. Of course I do travel a lot and I am sure that has added to my marriage longevity.

I guess some of us learn by example and follow that and others learn what not to follow. Sounds like number two was the charm for you. Congratulations on 29 years. That is nothing to sneeze at.

thank you Esther ( my sister's name we have passed the 61 mark..and everyone said it wouldnt last because we only knew each other 7 weeks. But we know that life winds down and we try to do everything together.

Well R and R I thought I had the prize for fathers...i had forefathers (4)

but just one wife....its was a roller coaster in the uears the kids (2) were home and single .. no arguments since they moved out
