Sounds like a good idea, LinkC, but for one thing.

When you have given up trying to play the plastic pipe, all you have left is a plastic pipe

But when you have given up trying to play a genuine Australian didgeridoo, the didgeridoo becomes a house-hold talking point for the rest of your life. Add a few tales of how you used it to beat off a crocodile attack in the outback, and tamed a buffalo with it, and you will probably have a life-times free drinks as well.

I suspect that making a noise with it will possibly be enough for OSA Therapy, providing you get the breathing right. Actually playing it will prove that you have the determination to master anything.

Now that's worth a million bucks.

The vuvuzela ranks really low when ranking pleasant sounds, lower even than the didgeridoo.

But I'd try the didgeridoo for apnea, if it was affordable. Thanks for the PVC link.

I bought a PVC didge made in India for about $30+ (http://www.wwbw.com/Didgeridoo-Store-Ul ... 44762.wwbw) and am very happy with it. It is easy to learn to play, however, learning to play it while using circular breathing is going to be a challenge.

I recommend starting out with a cheap PVC unit. It is easy for beginners to learn to make the correct sound. If you master this cheap didge and circular breathing you may want to upgrade to a more expensive, larger, traditional didge.

Playing it for 20 minutes in short bursts without circular breathing, I can tell you it gives the entire throat including the soft palate an excellent massage. I can imagine if you have the time and discipline to do this consistently over some weeks, you might have better tone of the muscles in the soft palate and experience some therapeutic benefit.

BTW, my wife is not one damn bit happy about this. She sent me upstairs to the far end of the house in a closed bedroom and is still complaining.
