2.9 sounds good to me. Can't get mine below 10....But then I started from 83.6!

With AI=0, it means HI is what's increasing. Now, what's your leak number? If it's sizeable, that could be the reason for the increased hypops...at least that's my experience, more leak=more hypops.

Sleep docs and sleep techs are constantly reminding patients not to micro-manage their OSA. While the OP may not fit into that category, there are many OSA suffers who do. They've become obessesed and post in forums trying to out-do themselves and each other in their treatment. Can you say OCD?

BTW, all registering does is make posters an ongoing and direct target for others to flame.

Trolls love to be at the center of flame wars they incite. Some people really love flaming others anonymously -- that way you never know how pyromaniacal they are. Amazing how thin skinned and cowardly they manage to be.

Some sleep docs and sleep techs know nothing about managing OSA once a person is at home with a machine the doc and tech don't even understand. And they come here and learn.

Here are some things members of this forum have learned to say:
Ignorance
Greed
God Complex
Stupidity
Irresponsibility.

And then there was an "ent consult" who also posted anonymously, and disappeared from view when I asked him / her for academic references. Can you say: some people are so unhelpful that you wonder what kind of life they lead outside forums....

I was starting to feel tired during the day again, and was just wondering if that was a good number. That's it. Is this board's purpose not to help all users?

Katie- According to the machine, the AI is 0 and HI is 2.9

Ostructive insulting posts by non-members, trying to make people feel bad about their questions should just be ignored. You can rest assured than anyone coming here and blasting you anonymously does not represent what this forum is about. It takes all kinds to make the world -- and he or she is that kind. The kind of person who has rarely helped, or - which is sadder - rarely been helped by caring human beings.

Well said KatieW! I know that I FEEL better when my AHI is under 1 than when nearer 5. I feel many things including more refreshed and think more clearly, which helps me not be over reactive or argumentative : ) LOL

Yeah! So, why isn't your other half sleeping - needs CPAP? [humor]

Another provacative, defensive, and inflammatory post by ozij where a controversial post attracts a particularly strong response from those who are blatantly biased and single minded. That poster then accuses someone else of being a troll because they choose to be anonymous and not share the same opinion as him or her. It's for that reason alone physicians and intelliects disapprove people from spending much time on the internet because it's full of opinionated people and posts like those of ozij. It's also one reason why people choose to prefer to post anonymously in the forums. It makes the flamers somewhat helpless.

Are you referring to psychology doctor ozij? We have our share of MDs, PhDs, and intellectuals who post here... thank you very much.

So what exactly are those "intelliects" you speak of anyway? Do they come in peace? Should we meekly take them to meet our leaders?

-SWS,
Just so you know, while you were on vacation, our leaders called an emergency meeting to inform us that we should do our best to keep them from being pestered by intelliects - of every ilk - whether they come in peace or not.

And to keep an eye out for newbies who may be less experienced in identifying intelliects.

Sorry I forgot to update you about that.
O.

Like those of this anonymous poster? No, it couldn't be an opinionated post. After all that applies only to others!

Well, I guess I'm fortunate to not be an intellect. I might actually talk myself out of doing somethnig useful. Like helping others. Or even learning more about my own situation. And sharing experience. Oh, no! That's not allowed. Sheesh!

[ jbf sighs and decides that some people never learn. Since jbf can not change the situation, so he chooses to shuffle off to the next post! ]
