My husband was absolutely over the moon with joy. So was I, for that matter.

My husband likes my machine. So does my Dachshund Duo. The Beaglette is another matter.

Seriously -- I used to be up 3-4 times a night to go pee and to take meds because of pain. Now I sleep around 7 hours straight -- sometimes longer. Every now and again, I get up and and go pee and then come back and sleep a few more hours. And it's rare that I need pain meds.

My husband likes me not having to get up. Not spending the night crying in pain. The mask? We joke about it.

Sure, life would be simpler without the mask sometimes. But much more painful.

He calls the mask his "girlfriend". Generic is OK but he better not give her a real name!

My wife has been very pleased. She can actually get a full nights rest now! She used to beg me to read a book until she went to sleep, so she could get some rest until my snoring would inevitably wake her up.

The only issue is when I occasionally turn toward her and blow air into her back. But, I can cover my face with the sheet and its all good. But she'd still rather take that than putting up with the snoring!

Good luck, and I bet you both will be very happy with it.

I think my husband see's this whole thing like a science experiment. The same thing happened when I had a c-section and the dr let him watch!!! (My husband's a mortician... I guess the surgeon didn't see any reason not to let him check it out.... and I was out cold so I couldn't object!)

Anyway, as I've tried out different masks he's taken it upon himself to adjudicate the results of each one as far as leakage, exhaust blowing in his face, and overall "attractiveness"! Since he wakes up frequently at night he's able to observe things that I'm not aware of. (Him waking up is another issue.... he probably has OSA.... he snores far worse than I ever dreamed of snoring. But he's not tired.... so we'll deal with him later.) Anyway, he's been very excited to see the changes I've exhibited as far as alertness.

The very first morning after cpap he commented that I was totally awake. He'd never seen me do that. (We've been married for almost 23 years!) He always joked that I woke up like I had a hangover everyday... which is really funny because I've never had a drink in my whole life!!!!

I was using a CPAP when I met my partner and he has never had an issue with it. It is no more of an issue than my eyeglasses.
