Here is another statistic for the History of Sleep Studies.Friday, September 01, 2006.Researchers at Mayo Clinic have identified a new type of sleep apnea they call "complex sleep apnea." The findings will be published in the September issue of the journal Sleep.The newly discovered type, complex sleep apnea, is a combination of both obstructive and central sleep apneas.

Yes complex sleep apnea! A night techs worst nightmare!!! This is apnea responds oposite to CPAP!.The higher the pressure of CPAP, the worst the apnea gets! So as a tech you are expecting some positive results as you increase pressure, so it was very frustrating to see the apnea's get longer and worse as you increased the pressure. This is where the SV Adapt Servo machine comes in. They found it also works for severe Central sleep apnea!
