Ha, ha, Amy.

There are times in the middle of the night that I have to get up and take a trip down the hall. Then out of consideration for my loving wife I leave the light off and use braille to put the Swift back on when I'm done. Or occasionally I decide to be mostly on my right instead of my left side (or vice-versa) and will change the elbow to the opposite side to reduce the risk of leaks. And twice I tried the other size pillows (I've settled on Medium) and had to switch in the middle of the night.

Everything else I do setup in the light before my wife goes to bed. Heck, I'm often in bed, light out and asleep or nearly so before she comes to bed these days!

Hey Bill
You're way too active at night. Do you ever just sleep all night??? If I have to get up to go to the little girl's room, I don't turn on any lights (hardly even open my eyes) so I have no trouble seeing in the dark. I just slip the headgear back on and crash (onto my pillow..not the wall).

I was looking at the tubing on my swift and I'm a little worried about something. The end of the tubing that fits into the tubing for my machine has water caught in it. The end has a large piece that fits into the machine tubing and inside that large piece is another piece (did you follow that...if you look at Bill's picture, I'm talking about the end of the tubing on the right side of the picture). There's water caught between those two pieces and I can't get it out. Has that happened to anybody else? I always wash the barrel and tubing from my swift each morning and let them air dry throughout the day. Is that what most of you do too?

Thanks...Amy

Amy, most nights I "crash" and am out until the next morning, But some nights ...

I wouldn't worry about water caught in the swivel piece as you describe it; the water is outside of the airflow. If you are concerned you can probably disassemble and dry it. I know mine has come apart at least twice by accident when I wasn't as careful disconnecting the CPAP hose as I should have been. It just snapped back together again, no problem.

Thanks Bill,

I got worried when I saw that last night but I checked it again this morning and it was all dry. I tried to disconnect the 2 pieces but I was afraid I would break it so I gave up. Thanks for pointing out that the water was outside of the airflow...that made me feel a little better. This morning, after I washed the barrel and tubing, I blew my hairdryer into the tubing, by the connector, and it dried the water in just a couple of minutes. One problem down....how many more are just waiting for us???

Thanks...Amy
