This is a bit like trying to run Mac software on a PC (yes, I know you can run PC on Mac, but not the other way around). ResScan is for Resmed machines, PR S1's are Respironics machines--they don't communicate!

You must get Encore Viewer 2.0. It is not online and it's not free--you've got to buy it. Go to our hosts, cpap.com and order it. $99--well worth it. It stinks that it costs so much, but I think we also need to send a message to Respironics that Yes, we are their customers (even if they don't think so) and Yes, there is a market for the software.

And no, it is read only--you can't change the machine via the software. If you need to make adjustments to your machine, you will have to gain access to the machine's clinician's menu.

Can someone please PM me how to get the software to read the SD card on my PR System One REMstar Auto CPAP Flex Machine. I would also like to be able to change the pressure without having to pay for it every few weeks and will be very grateful for the software and the manual which was not given to me. Thanks in advance.

See my post above. You have to BUY the software. It doesn't change the settings, but you can do that manually by accessing the clinician's menu on your machine. But until you can at least READ what's already posted, you are not ready to be going in and changing any settings!

Thanks for your comments. I've got the software and was able to use it to change the pressure but would still like to get the clinical manual for the
System One REMStar Pro with C-Flex+. And thank you, I did READ as you instructed and found that I had missed that the software was freely available and is used to change the pressure settings. Thanks again.

Thank you for this information. I hope that companies will soon be able to develop software that will allow the chip to be read, but restrict/protect the area where the settings can be changed. It would be nice to know/see how well my husband is doing.

There is no reason why you can't see the data right now. Some is available on the machine and more in the software.
Just because you look doesn't mean you need to or want to or will change anything.

Looking doesn't automatically change anything. It takes a conscious effort to change any of the settings.

I say this assuming your husband has a data capable machine. If it is not, then nothing will ever be available that is more than how long he has used it. (number of hours only)
