Just got a new machine, which turned out to be this Remstar with SD card. Count me in as on the software-desiring list!

A PM wouldn't go amiss

Has anybody bought the EncoreViewer software? Does it give you the information you need? I understand you cant make changes to the therapy through the viewer, but I'm too new to this to want to do that anyway. Do you need the special reader, or will the smart card slot on my computer work?

I have it. the slot on your computer should work if you have the new PR system 1 machines which use a standard SD memory card.

I have Encore Viewer 2.0 as well and it gives me a lot of data. I get more info than I got with Encore Viewer 1.0 and my M Series.

There is no need to have software that can change the pressure or any other settings. That can be done directly on the machines, using the info in the Provider's Manual. If/ when you want to do that, ask on the forum and someone can send you the Providers Manual.

Any card reader, including built in ones on computers and printers (or separate USB card readers) will read the SD card that comes with the PR System One machines. No special reader is needed, as was the case with Encore Viewer 1.0.

When I got my system last week I noticed a guide that said "Important! Remove this guide before giving the device to the patient. Only medical professionals should adjust pressure settings."
So it appears I've already got the provider's manual should I get to the point where I want to be doing that!

Thanks everybody for your answers. I'll be getting this software soon.

Glad you have the Provider's manual!!!

Get the software - you'll be glad you did!

With the Provider's manual you can change any settings. With the Encore Viewer 2.0 software, you can see what happens when you are sleeping all through the night.

You will be in charge of your own therapy!!

Can the Encore Viewer 2.0 read the old SmartCards from the RemStar machines as well as the newer SDcards?

I understand that it can read the smart cards from older Remstar machines but you will need the Infineer card reader to read that older card to Encore Viewer 2.0 software.

Hi, I have been getting therapy from a PR System one for a few months now and have had very dramatic results. I've been lurking on this forum for quite some time now and have learned quite a lot about my condition. I would really appreciate it if someone could direct me to the software that would allow me to read the data on the SD card so I could track my improvement.

thanks in advance!

You indicate you have the PR System One Pro. Software for that is available at cpap.com. It is "Encore Viewer 2.0".

Cpap.com has this software and they have a bundle including this software and a card reader. Any memory card reader will work though. I use the one on my printer.

I just posted a tutorial on my blog about how to read and understand the Encore Viewer 2.0 software here: http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/2010/0 ... -tutorial/

I hope it's helpful to see what kind of data you can get and how it might help the machine user.

If this is helpful, please leave a comment.

I guess this is old news, but what the heck...

I ordered the EncoreViewer - version 2.0.23.0 from CPAP.com when I ordered my PR1 several months ago.

I slip the SD card into my laptop running Windows 7, bring up the program, and view/print all the details. For a two month period ending 8/6/10, it ran to 13 pages of very detailed information.

I never expected the card/program to be read/write, so I just make any changes necessary manually using the clinician's guide included with my PR1.

Thank you, CPAP.com.
