I would never have called them "bulldog" clamps.
Although I am a native of Colorado...my parents and family are all from Alabama.

Katie, that works very well for nasal masks.
If I route the hose up like that w/a FFM, the exhaust vent blows directly against the

I've tried the hose under the covers thing, but just can't take to it. I really prefer it over my head, and my mask sits much firmer, and the seal better. So I've taken one of those 3M Command cable tidies, stuck it to the wall about a foot above my pillow, and looped a scrunchy through it. Non-obtrusive really, and the hose goes through the scrunchy and gives me a lot of movement.

And, in Australia, they're bulldog clips too!

I have the hose buddy which holds the hose over my head. I have it adjusted so the hose will not pull on my mask no matter how far I roll, unless I roll off the bed. When I travel I have a small travel one that folds up and goes into a small pouch bag and lays flat. That one pretty much works the same way as the hose buddy. I tried keeping the hose under the covers when I first started to help with the rainout but I kept rolling onto it then pulling my mask when I would turn my head.

I sleep on the right side of the bed. My machine is on a 12" high shelf on the floor. The hose routes up between the headboard & mattress along the top of the pillow and down the LH edge of the pillow. It lays across the top left hand corner of the pillow, that way when I roll left to right & back, the hose just follows. On occasion, the hose will end up in front of the vent but other than that, it's worked.

In case anyone's interested, here are photos of my pillow clip, which could also be used on the sheets as Carbonman does. I purchased it at Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft store for only a few dollars. It's in the aisle with the Velcro.

Most people have covers on their hoses to cut down on rainout, so Carbonman's would work well, but for those who have an uncovered hose, this may work for them. There are also similar commercially available "hose clips". This one's at cpap.com: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/cpap-hose-clip.html.

The alligator clips shown here are considered Drug Paraphernalia and will land you in jail if you are caught in possession of them.

The ones Carbonman uses are called paper clips.

Merry Christmas. I use a wreath hanger that hooks over the top of the headboard. The hose passes through the hanger loop, or usually I use a string attachment to create a more mobile suspension. Anyway, it works great and the hose moves with me and does not drag on covers or across my body.

Simple and cheap.

Nah. Alligator clips are legal. It's roach clips that are a no-no. The one only becomes the other when it ceases to grip copper, and begins gripping paper. And even that depends on what you're doing with the paper.

I use one of these, it was in my basement left over from when I had snakes

works GREAT. I slide the flat part under the top matress at the head of the bed, and can adjust the arm to be as high as I want. I hook the hose to it with a scrunchie, so it's always hanging above my head. small, light, sturdy, but I wouldn't recommend it for travel.

Geez, I really need to get to sleep now because I'm losing it here....

When I read what you wrote above, xiola, I thought "How the heck would someone use that contraption to get rid of snakes in their basement?" Then I realized you had used it when you had kept PET snakes in the basement!

That reptile heat-lamp stand looks like it would work great as a hose stand. Very clever use! And you could hang your mask or whatever from the other parts too.
