Both made by the same company it appears that they may both use the same cushion i would like CPAP.com to confirm that.

The Dreamfit uses a whole new interface with a bellows platform that the cushion is attached to. It is much lighter, more narrow and a little bit cheaper that the Activa. I fell it to be more comfortable that the Activa when slide sleeping with less weight. The forehead assembly sides on the tube for adjustment. Since the vent is on the fixed part of the interface it blows at about 70% up angle. Since I like to put my arm under the pillow I know where the exhaust is going unlike the Activa the exhaust direction changes depending on the mask swivel.The DreamFit does have a Velcro in the back of the interface for quick release.

The disadvantage is that the cushion is hard to take apart and the bellow assembly may be a little fragile. I just wash the mask in one piece leaving the straps on the same hose session. Second the fitting range may be smaller than the Activa. The cushion itself is heavier than I have seen on some other mask. The forhead pads are a little bit small and made a impression on my forehead like a character from the THX SCI-FI movie but marks when away after a while.

The mask dreamfit seems to hold up well when I toss and turn in sleep.
Bottom line: This is my favorite mask since its gives me the best treatment and the most energy during the day using the Autoset S7 Spirit on the Mirage setting. Yes I am using it with the Pad and Cheeks cover and it works fine with it. The Pad and Cheeks cover does seems to to give the straps a little bit more spring to it which helps to keep a more even tension on the lower straps to the mask.

I just ordered a Standard Dreamfit - thanks CollegeGirl for the link to the measurements page -

I've only used a ComfortGel so far, I've decided it's kind of leaky - AHI has been less than 10 but it doesn't seem to be dipping to less than 5 - I got my ENT to read the smartcard and print a report.

The BiPAP with BiFLEX has been so good for me, last night I bumped the IPAP up half a notch (8 to 8.5, I'm a small person) to see what that does for the AHI. I figure I'll check that change at the ENT's next week (I get weekly allergy shots, the ENT calls me "a project patient" haha), and then the week after that, I can see what the Dreamfit does for me.

So... I will report back! Thanks for the reviews you guys.

Does your decision to order mean cpap.com is suggesting the Dreamfit based on your measurements?
... I wonder if I should try again.... If I find that note with the measurements, that is....

No, I didn't use cpap.com's measurement guide, ozij. I made my own guess... "small will probably work for me." And it did.

Actually, "Shallow" is the size I chose for the DreamFit. Shallow or Standard, either one, works for me in the Activa and any other mask that offers "shallow" in a cushion. I like the shorter up/down length of shallow, as well as the slightly wider roomy feel (not touching the sides of my nose) that I get with shallow cushions.

OZ, thanks, and yes I did use the cpap.com measurement guide - took my measurements, plugged them in, and the list that came out included the DreamFit Standard I am anxiously awaiting its arrival.

I kind of wish I was still on therapy as this looks great.

RG, do you work for microsoft or something, you seem to be buying all the new stuff a lot . How would you compare the breeze to the swift, I have a swift, but it is to noisy. Weren't there some issues getting the Aura fitting right for you???

My verdict has not come in yet as to whether I'm happy or not to be off of therapy. Well, maybe "happy" is not the right word, but whether I am feeling all right without it. I still think more time is needed to assess the situation and its results. See, if nothing else, from this site I have learned that I can't judge things as quickly as I would like to and you have to give some important matters the time they deserve to evaluate them appropriately. I am still waiting to make the correct assessment as to whether I am feeling well enough without being on CPAP or if I really need it. Wish it were as simple as saying, "Gee, am I doing well and don't need the machine anymore," but unfortunately it's not.

Lori, have you had the simple O2 test for saturation, you know the one where you wear the little clip on your finger yet?? If you O2 is up in the high 95% range, you should be doing fine. Most that have OSA fall down in the low 80% range at night

I did an overnight oximetry test and my mean saturation was 96% without CPAP. I had just under 2 mins. of 88% and 28 seconds of 86%, but that was an eight-hour night with no therapy. So overall, I was fine according to the doctor's and RT's assessments. However, I have been so overly active lately between vacation and out late at night for my reunion and concert, and working really hard, so I can't really judge if I'm just tired from all the running around or if I'm feeling it from no therapy, or maybe just mind over matter and am expecting to feel tired now that I'm off the therapy.

So, as I said, I will let this go on a bit and then make my own assessment. But I'm not as bad as I used to be by any stretch of the imagination, thank goodness.

How nice to see some other "converts" to the DreamFit! I'm trying REAL hard not to say "Told ya so!" LOL And a great review, John. I'm a bit surprised you didn't mention how darn small the interface is....at least I found it that way. Course, the only thing I had to compare it to was the UltraMirage FF mask!

I'm not sure whether or not I should have been able to use the DreamFit or not, I didn't use the cpap measuring guide. I picked mine up from a local DME cuz it was covered in full by insurance. I looked at probably 8 - 10 different masks and this one just said "Buy me, Try me, LOVE me!"

RG, glad to see you decided to try the DreamFit. And that it's working well for you.

Hi Rested Girl

I am following this with some interest myself. I have had trouble with the Ultra Mirage FF mask due to pressure on the bridge of my nose. I see that this mask goes over the nose and would also have contact with the bridge of the nose. Is this probably something I should avoid, in your opinion?
