Brian - this is a must have. Order some or make them yourself.
I made myself 2 pairs with velvette material - lovely to have.
Very handy to have 2 pairs - one pair in use and one pair in for washing.
If you sleep with an open mouth - tape it

Last evenings numbers:

Hours: 8.5
Leaks: .34
AHI: 6.6
AI: 0.3
HI: 6.13

Horrible night! Went to bed around 9pm, and just couldn't get comfortable with the straps, nasal pillows etc... PLUS, a neighbors dog began barking non-stop at 8:30pm (right under my bedroom window)! I tossed and turned until midnight, and finally called our local Police. They arrived at 1pm, knocked at the door, and were greeted by an agitated old man wearing a Swift LT! LOL!!!!! You all should have seen their faces, I think it scared the dickens out of them!

Might have been a lot of contributors to the different numbers last night. Hoping that tonight goes much better.

Of course, since I use a full-face, I may not be able to clearly tell them it's all right.

I have the S8 Autoset II, which is different, but also ResMed. In the Clinical Guide, under the Mask Fitting, it says:

Excellent 0-10.8 L/M
Very Good 10.9-15.6
Good 15.7-20.4
Adjust Mask 20.5 +

Elsewhere., on page 36, it says "a leak rate of more than 0.4 L/S (24 L/M) is associated with patient discomfort, disturbed sleep and reduced efficacy of treatment.

You're most definitely on the right path now. The information and support on this forum can make all the difference in success.

If you don't think your mask is leaking, then you may be leaking therapy air from your mouth without realizing it. I discovered that after a while. I eventually got a PAPCap Plus, which has a nice cotton chinstrap. Now my leaks are consistently zero every night! I don't think it's something to be concerned about right now, especially if you're feeling better during the day.

I would've loved to have seen the looks on their faces! Too funny!

LOL & thank you! I've been advised by "THE BOSS" to cool my jets with the police tonight. I guess it was the talk of the neighborhood!
