I just reread my post and realized it sounded like I was saying my father may have harmed my mother in his sleepwalking episodes. That was not the case. She was just always there to talk him back to bed/sleep, and she seemed to be able to redirect him pretty easily. One memory is of hearing him (apparently standing in the bed jumping up) repeatedly punching the ceiling beneath the floor of my bedroom. I'd hear mom tell him a couple times to lay down and go back to sleep. He'd mumble something incoherent and lay down down and go back to sleep. Wonder how she was able to avoid his punches - maybe she sensed when he was restless and knew to get out of the way.
About someone buying someone else a house... I wish someone would have told me that's how it's supposed to work because I got it all backwards. When I got divorced and moved back into the home I had owned for 10 years prior to the short marriage, it had been cleared of all furnishings except what was not paid for. Then I had to get a 2nd mortgage to cover the debt he stuck me with, but ended up selling it because I couldn't afford two mortgages. I'd like a second chance at getting that right. Anyone else looking to just buy a lady a house?
