Thanks for the explanations.
Have only used distilled.
But I just wanted to know.
And it felt like the info would fit the thread.

I put mine in the dishwasher. Comes out sparkling. I just use filtered water and all goes well.

If a CPAP humidifier is not cleaned daily and pink mold gets into corners of bottom plate of the tank or if tank not rinsed daily and bacteria gets into tank, can that cause emphysema?
only as a "maybe yours too" effort. I replaced a rubber ring that fits in-between the water reservoir and hose beginning... ( it was mouldy) and that pink slime mould STOPPED happening.
been a few months now.

Only smoking causes emphysema.

Reconstitute it... I don't know the ratios, because I've not used it myself, I'd start out with a fairly dilute solution, and experiment...

A pharmacist could probably tell you the ratios...

I just use a wee squirt of vodka.
One for the tank--one for the frog.

I use vinegar to clean. I advise anybody who really objects to the odor of vinegar to just rinse very thoroughly. Those who don't object should also rinse, but maybe not quite as thoroughly.
