I'm so sorry for your loss. May I can grieve along side? I lost my mother almost 30 years ago. While I don't think about her passing as often any more, it still hurts.

My condolences... and my thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I believe my Dad had sleep apnea and was too much of a man to do anything.
He passed away June 17th and I'm still feeling it....

"We only die once, but for such a long time."

I was expecting grief - but not guilt.

I thought I had forever
But I only have today

Jeff and the kids are probably wondering 'When is Mommy gonna stop crying?'

Kira - Please allow me to add my condolences. As I said in my earlier post, I truly can relate to what you have been going through. No matter how prepared we think we are, it is never enough. Just take peace in knowing that she is in a better place, and that you did everything in your power to make her last days as good as possible.

Again, I am truly sorry for you loss.

I've been off the forum for a little while and have just now read of your loss. My heart goes out to you and to Dad.

When my Mom passed away almost five years ago, Dad was devastated. 51 years of marriage left him unprepared to face the world alone again. We urged him not to do anything rash for one year. One year to the day after we lost Mom, Dad came west and put an offer on a house a few blocks away from us. He has learned to enjoy life again.

I think back about Mom and her father, my grandfather. Both were notorious snorers with a habit of afternoon napping. It has lead me to think. But not too much.

Mom's obituary was in the New Orleans paper on Sunday.

After reading the obituary, I do believe I would have enjoyed knowing her. You've suffered a tremendous loss.

Kira -- So sorry to hear of your loss. My mother died unexpectedly when I was 8 and I think of her so often. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and her obituary -- she was an active woman who raised a very wise and strong daughter! When a friend died a few years back, I received a card that read: Mourn the loss but celebrate the life. I hope you found the perfect duck and you and your family had a grand feast in celebration of her life. Take care.
