Since I don't wash my mask every day (usually only once or twice a week), I just thought the plastic bag would help keep any dust or other things floating in the air off the mask between washings.
I was wondering if other folks do anything like this, or do you just leave it on the nightstand exposed all day, or are you actually washing your mask every day?

You know anybody that has a German Shepard can understand the body language... They grab the Mask, run around the house with you chasing them. Tail wagging, slight sly grin and shaking it like a live animal and staying one step ahead of you
You just hope this time the hose isn't attached nor the machine... Your tired, exhausted, fatigued and that adds more sport for the GS.
And finally, when you can run no more, the GS stands there, with Mask in mouth, wondering why you've given up. Sometimes, going to bed can be complicated.
Also, the GS just loves the soft chewy pillow. MMM, tasty... And, the GS just loves when the Sleep Tech from the DME comes to visit. Sleep Tech brings more chew toys...
Though, a dog's mouth is the cleanest, so they say....
Good luck,
SG

When I first started - it disconnected mask and hose, pulled humidifier chamber and emptied water. Then rinsed all and let air dry every morning. Cleaned with soap once a week.
Now, when the mask it comes off my head, it goes on my pillow. I wash it every couple of weeks - when I remember. I don't empty the humidifier chamber now, I just add more distilled water as needed. It may get washed once a month. I have not had any problems with this routine - and probably will continue it until I do.
