Thanks for all your kind words. I lurk on here from time to time, and I'm glad I finally took the time and posted.

I don't think so. At my next appointment with the ENT I'll ask him about recovery.
DSM wrote: Am balking at going ahead as she says it takes 2 weeks of hell to recover from the tonsilectomy. Did you get any warnings about that ?
Yup, he warned me about that. Being that I'm still only young, it seems to me that 2 weeks of hell to then be able to be on a lower pressure for the rest of my life would be a good tradeoff.

Well, breathing is kinda important to me. I guess I just know that my machines go sky high without a limit, and that I'm probably getting flow limitations or at least something interfering with my normal breathing. It could just be that the way I breathe confuses the algorithm, but I'm more inclined to think that the machine believes there's a permanent obstruction in my airway. It'd be silly of me at 26 to live the rest of my life without having the biggest airway I can have.

Yeah, got a bit trigger happy on the 0 key. Try 7,000.
ozij wrote:OTOH, that's what you're at at 26, blarg. It might be easier and better to do it now than in you fifties.
Exactly my thoughts. And especially that it's now amazingly cheap, I might as well take the opportunity.

Me too! Everyone's on in the morning when I'm at work, and then when I get home and have time to actually read posts, there's 20 million of them and you'se are all asleep. One of the biggest things I miss is the chat room.
JeffH wrote:Maybe one day the healthcare system in America will catch up. Glad you are in a place that cares about it's people.
Yeah, I have a different perspective on the two healthcare systems since I've used both a fair bit. I don't really want this thread to turn into an Australia vs US thread though, so if anyone wants me to do up a comparison, PM me and I'll compose one. It'll be a different thread so that the flaming is contained there.
