Wow, thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I have had a lot of fun putting this product together. Let me try to answer some of the questions.

As for size, I have experimented with a larger size but it does not perform as well. I think it's best to try to keep things simple. Because the pillow is not "resilient" like most others, all buckwheat hulls are more compact than their cousins. It may seem small but it is actually optimized for most everybody. The four inch side panels provide more than enough room to meet individual needs.

As for hull volume, the pillow actually holds about 3.75 gallons of hulls. It now ships with 4 gallons of hulls. This was done in response to comments from plr66 and others--so that concern has been addressed with the current product. As for hulls with more "loft" I'd be happy for supplier referrals. I have experimented with various sources and the current supplier is as large and "mainstream" as they come--the provide lots of pillow hulls into the market.

As for pillow cases, any standard case works. Cases are sold separately on the website.

Lou, you can wash the quilted cover after removing the buckwheat hulls. I got a standard-size cotton pillow protector and have zipped my first Regenesis into it. I recently got a second one, and it came with the hulls packed in a separate plastic bag (unlike the first one, which came with hulls inside the shell). I have yet to get the second pillow set up, but I've contemplated washing the quilted cover before adding the hulls. My first pillow arrived with the right amount of hulls for me, so I'll try to get the second pillow stuffed to the same fill level.

Goose, the accompanying paperwork simply says to remove the buckwheat hulls before washing the pillow "shell."

Pitrow, the pillow is a standard size pillow, which may be a little smaller than you're used to, but I can't imagine it being *too* small. IIRC, it measures 18"x13"x4". If you use a regular pillow on top of a memory foam pillow, at worst I think you might want to use a thin regular pillow on top of the Regenesis -- or to stuff the Regenesis with more hulls.

I just weighed the bag of hulls, and it weighs 5.2lbs., 5.6lbs. with the pillow shell. I then weighed my filled Renesis (pillow shell, cotton pillow protector and standard case + hulls), and it weighed 5.2lbs. I suppose when I fill my second Regenesis I'll have a few hulls left over. One thing I like about this pillow is that because of the square edge, the pillow supports my neck without having to have my head way up in the air or having to stuff the regular pillow between my head and shoulder when I sleep on my side.
