Reminds me of another interesting point, pet food made in the U.S. has to meet the same processing standards as food for human consumption because, as sad as it is, so many elderly, migrant workers, homeless & financially disadvantaged people subsist on pet food. So if you're ever stuck in a Katrina like survival situation and you're down to nothing but Fancy Feast & Mighty Dog, you don't have to starve.

And one other bit of useless information; those little sticky labels that you find on produce are edible, really.
