If she thought the cyst was your bladder, what did she think your bladder was?[/quote]

She literally made me get up off the table and go pee again, to drain my bladder so she could get a scan of the uterine lining. When I came back she said, "It's still full, something is wrong with your bladder".

That's right... They bronze anything, Bev!

Seriously, good luck getting that squared away!

If they can bronze a tomato, I guess they can bronze my water balloon. A conversation piece, indeed. Thanks for the chuckle, SWS.

BB, it's always something, isn't it? Just when I think I'm getting it figured out, something else comes along.

Junie, I appreciate the thoughts and prayers.

O...okay. Maybe I should just go beat my head on the refrigerator door... because it feels so good when I stop.

I don't remember which of the two transvaginals I had, but they WANTED the bladder full. No, wait -- that wasn't the transvaginal, that was the transabdominal.

I'm just glad they've found one of the issues, and sorry you have to wait to find out what you need to do to deal with it.

Bev,
Our 16 year old grandson is driving in from Boise, Idaho - We are c-phoning frequently so I know he is O.K, but he should have been here two hours ago, I couldn't sleep so I got up and pulled up Cpaptalk.com to distract me for the final half-hour and got your news . . . Seems like you go from one major concern to another. Come on girl, tell your body to stop creating the worry already.

I'm sorry you may have to wait . . . I've done the waiting thing too. My OB kept telling me to prepare myself for the Big C. I decided I didn't have any such thing and waited 3 weeks for her to come back from a medical convention. Had a hyster. It was a cyst . .all was O.K.

You are a person who gives help and support to anyone with problems. I join all the people who are praying for good results from your tests. Prayer can ease the mind, create miracles when needed.

to have something that size growing behind your uterus would cause pressure to your hip and pelvic area as well as your back. The positive thing is that you found a sharp tech . . When you have it taken care of, I think you will find like most of us, that your cyst is just a cyst, nothing more. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Wow, Bev. I'm concerned for you but grateful that there's something that can be done, and hoping you'll feel much better after the surgery. I've been reading that a fairly hefty dose of turmeric (four 700+ mg twice a day as a minimum) taken for a few weeks prior to surgery can reduce post-surgical inflammation and speed healing. Might be worth trying.

I am so glad you got this diagnosed. I do know that taking control of our healthcare is the best way to take care of our bodies. You knew something was wrong, and you followed up on it until you got an answer. I will remember that when I have issues with my own body.

I will keep you in my prayers for a super speedy recovery after the surgery. Take care and please keep us updated.

I couldn't log in all day at work. I thought they had fixed that problem.

My CA-125 test came in at 17.1, so that is a good thing. I found out who the oncologist is and I've heard good things about him. So two more weeks of waiting before my doctor gets back from vacation so that the two of them can discuss it.

Thanks to all for the good wishes and prayers. Now that I know what the problem is, I'm very anxious to get it taken care of.

Raj, I checked several articles on tumeric. One said that due to the anticlotting properties it has, it's best not to take before surgery. I had not idea how many other benefits tumeric had. Thanks for letting us know.

Bev,
I want you to know I'm sending all good wishes your way. I've been through this, and it turned out well, but it's so nerve racking just waiting.
All the best,
