Most seafood except for fish has high cholesterol. Is it the good or bad cholesterol? What about abolone? Does it contain any cholesterol at all. Sea cucumber has been said to be able to lower cholesterol if eaten, is it true?

Here's my numbers:

Cholesterol 241
Triglyceride 150
HDL 72
LDL/HDL ratio 1.9
Cholesterol, non-HDL 169
LDL 139

My doc said not to worry about my #'s because my HDL is so high, it puts my total at a high number.

FYI - I eat a lot of seafood.

Most low carb advocates would say this is above the ideal of 100; your # indicates you are eating more carbohydrate than your body can manage. Must say I envy your 72 HDL

Apparently not enough luck with my cholesterol...

My total cholesterol is down to 174 from 249. But, my HDL is 40 and my LDL is 104....so my LDL is still high and my HDL is low.....
