What's next - filters and hoses too?

It sounds to me like industry-policy lobbyists are in the pockets of Brick-and-Mortar dealers who want to shut down on-line dealers because they're losing serious business. It sounds like the kind of thing that could backlash if enough of us write our congressional representatives and senators. If enough people wrote about how ridiculous it is to require a prescription for something you can't use without a machine anyway, maybe we could turn that around.

My doctor only knows what Sleep Apnea is and how to spell CPAP. I had to explain to him what an APAP was after my sleep study test. Luckily I was just there since I was considering a backup machine for travel and as a backup.

I kinda had the same thought as DD.....
The manufacturers have finally been able to lobby the FDA to force the prescription requirement for masks etc......
Watch out -- next comes the price rise!!!! You know. For all that additional administration that the manufacturers have to do to ensure that their distribution points tow the line......

Thanks for the notice Johnny -- As usual, you're on top of it and I for one totally appreciate it.....
cheers

Sorry if this has already been covered - how does this impact cpapauction.com?

EDIT - nevermind, I see that you had to have a prescription on file with them in order to order a machine.
