What is the ägenda" of this forum? Or, what do you think is the agenda?
We all know that most forums are money driven. Now I'm not making any claims about that, but this is not a true OSA forum, it's a Cpap forum. ......................................................It's just common sense.
This guy is just brilliant.. He comes to a website called cpaptalk.com to tell us this a cpap forum..
8 months in and 730+ posts he finally has it figured out.
It's just amazing!
+1
I don't believe he actually *understands* the concept... he's looking at it, but I think comprehension is beyond him.

The agenda of this forum is to help people use Cpap because we believe it is the best thing to use for OSA.
There's no conspiracy, no hidden agenda, certainly not pretending to be anything other than a Cpap forum and no one getting insanely rich, though of course Cpap manufacturers do charge for their machines like any other businesses charge for their stock. What a concept!
We believe Cpap's the best answer for the most people at this time... some will never work it out (duh!), some will do it overnight, and most will do the best they can and find it works pretty well most of the time - which is about all you can ask considering no two people are alike!

my personal view is a little different... I don't believe that cpap is necessarily the best thing, but it's the thing *I* and most people
HAVE, and if we can help someone get the most out of what they have, then that's what we're here.
it's like cpaptalk is a bicycle shop.
you go into your local bike shop for advice on parts, truing up your wheels, adjusting your brakes... maybe picking up some accessories, like those funny helmets, or new lights. maybe there's a swap bin where other folks donate things for other members that need 'em.
you don't go into the bike shop and ask what's causing your car to make that clunking noise when you step on the gas, you don't ask them about motorcycle helmets. They don't sell helicopters, they aren't going to advise you on how to get a pilots license.
if you want those things, you
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! say the 'generic transportation shop down the street... *cough*.
UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN BANNED FOR BEING AN IDIOT.
and we all know who I'm referring to, there.

Ok, it may not be 'the' best thing ever for OSA... there are other things that have worked for some people and there are new things in the works, but for the majority of people who bother to get set up halfway decently and use Cpap consistently, possibly while working out issues they have with it, it's the most reasonable thing going at the moment. And of course this forum is about that, and not ten other non-Cpap related things.

I've been searching for an answer to the above since one year. However I noticed a marked improvement when I shifted from apap to cpap but still occasionally I wake up early and suffer the rest of the day. I feel short of an hour of sleep.

You have been bitten by a Enchanter bug, a person that claims to never sleep, doesn't correctly use XPAP, never has. Jim

I slap annoying insects, then I wash my hands . . .
{{{that was a lie; I eat the tasty ones, but the bitter, nasty ones get flushed}}
Then I really do need to use a hand sanitizer.

You might want to start your own thread so it gets more attention from forum members.
Also, as suggested in this thread,
viewtopic/p1048647/viewtopic.php?f=1&t= ... 9#p1028399, assuming your machine is still data capable and works with sleepyhead, you might want to download the software and post screen shots using the links in my signature profile to see if the report provides any helpful information.
