Sure. I've bought several things thru them, including at least two masks. Keep in mind it's like eBay. You are not buying from the site, they just host the auction.

I'm not sure they have all the safeguards that EBay has, but I've never had a problem.

It's run by cpap.com...the folks that provide this forum!

(PSM/Tatis: I don't live in Canada, nor do I have "crappy" insurance. And I don't recall asking for an exception to your limited offer. But thanks for thinking of me... Hugs and kisses!)

I have found Amazon.com (resellers) offer the best price if you can find your mask.

I am dealing with this issue now with my DME here in Canada.

With the government co-pay I am better off getting the machine here but with the mask I am better off ordering online.
Seeing as I have never had CPAP, I have no idea what mask would be ideal for me. I was thinking the DME would fit me and maybe even exchange it if I don’t like the first one.

I know I can do the exchange program with cpap.com but it’s not as easy from Canada.

I can’t decide which way to go.

Sounds like I can get two or three masks for what the DME is likely to quote me.

PS my wife suspects I will have mouth breathing issues because of my sleep habits and my seasonal allergies.

I found the exact opposite. All five of my local DME's would NOT exchange the mask under any circumstances... Their policy is once you walk out with one, it's yours - they say due to contamination. Makes their tripple pricing even more irritating! I'd check with a local DME on your end and find out their policies.

As for what mask to choose, checking out the Product Challenges (link at the top of the forum) was a decent guide for me. I ended up with a nose pillow system as many do these days but will also be getting a face mask as a backup (when my nose is stuffy, I have a cold, etc). On cpap.com you can also read many reviews for each product but be aware that most reviews in that resource will be geared toward the positives since thats what the person just bought. The Product Challenges were more insightful for me but both are well worth your time reading.

Good luck.

Go to http://www.dotmed.com. Bought the Swift Lt for $85 and asked if he would do free shipping. He agreed as long as I didn't need it in a hurry. Still got the mask in two days with the free shipping!

They're going for $55-65US plus shipping. (That's WAY less than your 40% of 415CAN!)

I'll say! Has anyone used the site for purchasing equipment? Just wondering how reputable it is and also, do they ship to Canada?

Regards, Rick
Yes I have bought and sold many masks there. Just remember that you are not dealing with the site itself, but different people who are using the site to sell masks. It's an auction site, similar to ebay, but for CPAP related things. Some people will ship to Canada and some won't, you should ask before making a bid.

To the OP, this is why I switched to the simplicity. That mask (the cushion) has lasted longer than any other mask I've tried. And it's the most comfortable. It's unfortunate they only have two cushion sizes.
