Too late. All four letters went out today. With the USPS, they should get it... oh sometime in August I would think.

Well, "I" thank you for writing to Resmed AND for supporting my USPS retirement check. USPS is still the best, most efficient snail mail service in the world.

Why limit yourself to the "world" when there's the known universe as well? Far be it for a Canadian postal worker to dispute your claim.

How to dodge a bullet in a US Postal Office.
Slap a stamp on it, then you have plenty of time to step out from in front of it. Jim
What's the fastest thing in the US Postal system? A rate hike!

Boy! Are YOU in a dream world, Goofproof!!! There's this outfit called the Postal Board of Governors. When USPS needs a rate hike they have to present it to the Board. The board always takes FOREVER to approve a rate hike and ALWAYS less than USPS asks for. USPS has to look forward to the future and try to estimate costs and revenue when determining their needs. They have the largest motorized fleet in the USA and are really at the mercy of the oil companies. By the time the Board gets around to approving the less than needed rate increase USPS is just a year or so instead of several years ahead of the need for another rate increase.

I've heard they are having trouble with the new Obama postage stamp, it keep falling off letters, they have tracked the problem down to the people are spitting on the wrong side of the stamp.
I don't have any trouble with the USPS, They are my favorite postal provider. I just have problems with governments in general. Jim

Seen from the Canadian perspective it is another story. Many people do not want to deal with UPS in anyways. UPS is under something near 100 class actions in all and every one Canadian provinces. They charge outrageous custom broker fees, do their best to not deliver to the door but to deliver to a central place sometimes 10 miles from home. They refuse to come to many places during the winter etc... It is a nightmare.
As a matter of fact USPS in cooperation with Canada Post offer a much better service for a comparable price and sometimes cheaper price. There are no "gimmics" like the custom brokers fee. It is just a 5$ flat rate most of the time. UPS is something to avoid! Personally I don't buy if UPS is mandatory. Period.

Wait a minute you guys. Is the Resmed S8 Series Autoset supposed to have a USB adapter so a person could use this now unavailable (except on piratebay) software? I just received my machine for the first time the other day and there is nowhere to plug in a usb cable and no software came with it. But I would really like to understand my treatment better because I just know how to press start/stop so far.
The tech that gave it to me made a comment that the back had a door over the card reader instead of a slot like it usually has. Maybe this is a new model that makes sure nobody's using the software.

On my Resmed S8s and my S8 1.5 (January 2008 VPAP Auto, replaced w/the VPAP Auto 25 in July 2008) there is a "square" opening in the back into which the local DME supplier can place a blank cover (Resmed refers to these "covers" as modules), a cover w/a slot in it for the data card to slide horizontaly OR the S8 ResLink to fit into w/its own vertical SmartMedia card slot. It wouldn't surprise me if your local DME supplier put the blank cover on it. Then when they want the data from it they can have you bring the AutoSet in, they quickly replace the blank "module" (cover) w/the data card module, do a download and then replace the data card module w/the blank "module" (cover) again.
