Who needs a cannula. Just pull those connectors off your hoses and cram them up your nares. Run the hoses around you neck and go Beddy By. Reason number 57 why the NAII is a good mask!

You're probably right. I was too sleepy to figure that out, though!!!!

You know what kills me? I forced the BF to let me keep a machine at his house, so I wouldn't have to keep toting my machine back and forth, and inevitably forgetting some small yet integral part.

Well, in the overnight bag right now is a backup cannula, a backup chinstrap, and I'm thinking about throwing in a backup set of hoses too. The bag the Legacy tank has is big enough to hold all that gear - he'll never notice that I'm bringing more and more crap into his house. Bwahahahaha!!!!!

Good idea - make an inventory list of everything you need to sleep with your machine. Keep that list in your travelling bag. Check list before you leave house.

LOL,
Babs

My gosh Babs, you just aren't as creative and practical as Jerry.

I nearly fell off the sofa laughing at your writing. Your experience wasn't funny, but the way you wrote it was priceless. Last night, I broke my headgear clip when I went to the bathroom. So in the middle of the night I was sitting on the side of the bed cutting little strips of tape to get it put back together because I can not sleep without the machine either. I finally had to get out one of my myriad nasal pillows masks and finished off the night with it. The good news was that my DME did give me new headgear today at no cost. And BTW, my son often has slow acting idiopathic (fancy, huh) anaphylactic reactions for which the doctor has him take 4 Benadryl. So with your 5, you probably weren't in any danger. I'm betting that you really crash tonight!

Very very good idea. Especially the "Check list before you leave house"... I've been known to forget that crucial part .

I actually got through the day Sunday okay. We didn't do anything too strenuous. No headache.

I've been dog tired and depressed since then, though, and it could be that I haven't caught up the sleep debt, but then again, it could be that it's the typical end-of-school-year-stress-out-I-hate-my-job flu.

I'm sure a good weekend and a few beers will cure that.

LOL,
