What about 39 for 2 more months? I just selected 40 to make it easier--that's how I feel.

Finally, someone older than I am. What a relief.
I thought I was probably the oldest. I think those two 100-yr-old guys are pulling our leg.
I thought you'd enjoy some facts about older persons. I did a little research and here's what I found. These are just a few:

Robert Adler, an inventor with Zenith, who first invented the wireless remote control for television, was still
inventing well into his 90's. He received his last patent in 2007, at age 94, for improvement to touchscreen T.V. controls.
Author Clarke, who collaborated with director Stanley Kubrick while in his late 80's to write the script for the movie "2001, A Space Odyssey" and while still suffering from the effects of polio. He remained active until his death at age 90, and was quoted as saying "being completely wheel-chaired doesn't stop my mind from roaming the universe."
Geneticist Barbara McClintock, in 1983, at the age of 81, received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for her work on "mobile genetic elements," that is, for her discovery of genetic transposition.
Alexander Languir, an epidemiologist, wrote extensively on a global basis and was recognized internationally as a leading contributor in epidemiology and worked for the CDC many years. In his later years, at age 78, he became a visiting professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, and continued at that position until his death 5 years later.
Paul Erdos, a mathematician, showed early promise as a child prodigy, and soon became regarded as a mathematical genius by his peers. He never stopped working and speaking at conferences about his mathematical deductions, especially in number theory and combinatorics , an area of mathematics fundamental to computer science. He died of a heart attack in 1996 at age 83, while participating at a conference in Warsaw, Poland.
Coaches Bobby Bowden and Lou Paterno are both coaches of ages 79 and 81, respectively, and continue to do exceptional jobs of delivering winning teams.
Blues singer, lyricist, and African American actress Alberta Hunter, a distinctive stylist and one of the top recording artists in the 1920s and 1930s, experienced a dramatic comeback in her old age. After becoming a nurse at 59 and working 20 years in that profession, she made a comeback into the entertainment world and performed until her death at age 91.

IIRC was still working for the navy well into her 80s - I think she led the team that defined & developed the COBOL language.

People like her are my inspiration - if we can still be working at 80 then I think it fair to say we know our lives will have been well lived.
(mind you, with govts, banks & superannuation funds constantly loosing our money, working to age 80 may be a necessity).

I was 56, heading for 58 now. Probably needed CPAP since late 40s or early 50s, so feel MUCH younger now than then!

Have been single and slowly working up to full time work for the past 13 years as the kids slowly grew up the final few years into adulthood - no way I'll retire. Sit around waiting to die, brain settling into oblivion? No way. One day they'll come into work and find me at my desk, petrified and covered in cobwebs! That's how I'd like to go/be found, anyway - I can dream!

Working on the fifth anniversary of my 39th birthday. So I guess "in the 30s" applies.

But he was wrong - he wasn't a (recently diagnosed) OSA sufferer. So he felt pretty good.

Me? Yesterday I was at least 90 after 2 games of hockey. Tomorrow, probably 60. After work on Friday night, probably 52 and 7 months, 13 days, 3 hours and a handful of minutes, looking forward to the weekend.

Then after hockey, back up to 90!

Just joined the forum ... glad to have found the site.

I voted 60's, but I was only 57 on that first night with my C-PAP 3.5 years ago.

I'm still a few months shy of 40 so I still get to vote 30's. Besides I did a lung function test thing the other day at my docs and I still have the lungs of a 31 year old so YAY!!!
