Breeze Nasal Pillows is my favorite and I use it almost every night. I also have a Fisher & Paykel HC 405 Nasal mask which I started out with and absolutely hate it and a ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face mask which I'm not too crazy about either and I only use it on nights when I can't breathe at all through my nose.

Why does this poll only have options of Respironics and Other? Not much to be learned from this it seems.

My one DME is not happy with me because I have told them to take the so called best mask and never order it again.

I even asked them it they would get the HR for me and the reply was, the purchasing department doesn't want to be bothered with another mask.

I am ready to cancel my lease on this machine and ask my doctor for a new script, a new DME that handles the HR so I can get all supplies from one DME.

This whole thing is rediculous.

Hey Rested Gal,

I think you should go to work for some of these companies that design the headgear. They need your input for sure. Why in the world can't they get it right.

You really did "chop" that Aura down good.

I only use the Activa because I don't like the Swift but maybe for a nasal mask I will try the Aura and chop it down like you did or send it to you.

Good work RG......

Ron,
This poll was created to see if there was a differecen in percentage between those who get a Respironics as their first mask, and those who use a respironics at present.

If the precentage were based on the bas rate, there shuold have been no percentage difference between the first mask and the other mask. But there is.

About 50% of the answerers were given a Respironics as their first mask.
About 15% use a Respironics as their present mask.

This difference is not meaningless. If Respironics produces half the masks available, the 15% means it can't keep its customers.

If Respironics produces 15% of the masks and half the people are being given a Respironics as a first mask - and not staying with that mask - then one should wonder what in the world makes DMEs offer this company's masks to 50% of their clients, when it turns out that a majority of those 50% do not kike the masks.

Either way you look at it, something's wrong here.

Is the poll sample representative? No. Are the questions worth asking? Yes. Do the results fit in with the impression many posters here have? Yes.

O.

I now use the Sleepweaver Elan cloth mask. SO much better than plastic.

I did find the easylife mask was ok, this was after trying 4 other respironics masks.
I suspect respironics masks may have been the standard at some point in time, but they got left behind.
Maybe the have good masks but the ones I was given originally we're really bad
Now I use the air fit resmed or swift fx.
When I'm stuffed up I use the liberty.
I also use the sleepweaver. I used that often because no jet stream, bit now with the airfit I don't use it much any more
