Before you do anything to either of them, first find out which one you're supposed to modify, the older or newer version.

Basically, it's a good idea to remember, if you can, why you didn't find the Oracle worked for you when you attempted using it. My memories, as explained in the thread, came rushing back to me after I tried inserting it once it was made. But it was a great experience learning how to use a dremmel. I actually enjoyed it.

I give Good Knight/Joel huge credit for coming up with this one. I'm just sorry it couldn't work for me. Hope it does for you, though. Please let me know if you do it and how it works out.

Thanks Lori. I already knew which one Joel was talking about...the "new" (not that it's very new anymore) version with the dial on the front to tighten/loosen the flaps and the shorter stub inside than the original's ridiculously long "tongue guide" was.

I said I have two Oracles, but actually I've got three if you count what's left (not much) of my first one. heheh. Two originals from almost two years back, and one "new". The first originals...I cut the long tongue guide off "way back when", and then later cannibalized the silicone flaps for mouth dam experiment purposes. The other original... I cut off the long tongue guide to "nub length"...interestingly, the same nub length that F&P later came out with in their improved "new" Oracle. I just never got around to getting it cut off flush enough to suit me. The nose snort leak issues made it not worthwhile to keep going with the Oracle.

The "new" one with dial and all (that I've had for months and months) is still sitting in a drawer because I've kept procrastinating about getting the annoying short nub chopped off flush. That's the one I may convert into a leak stopper. If I ever get around to it.

Let me know how it works for you. Your are correct, it is the "new" one. I remember you wanted to cut the little knobby thing off anyway. I am anxious to see if it works for someone other than me. For me it is very comfortable and the solution to most of my problems.
