Hi Craig,

You're a good sport! Seem to have your life pretty much under control. Are you from the deep South? The reason I ask is you don't know what a flicker is. Up here in the Great White North we all passed our ABC's and have moved "F" orward. Hell we even know what a "Z" amboni is, most of us ride one every day though. What we refer to as a "flicker" is just a new fangled version of what you probably call a clicker. Don't really know why we have em though - we only get test pattern and I Love Lucy.

Anyway, did you notice how I pulled the wool over RG's eyes? She thinks that story I made up could be true. I'll have to apologize to her later as she is my favorite and don't want her jumping her dogs to the wrong conclusion.

Hope you're not upset with me, ozji thinks we should have a duel but you may not have a chance. After we baby step our six paces I'll whip out my ten foot heated hose and suck all the wind out of you then off to the DME's you go!

Back to reality, Guest made a great point, especially with suggested site. I have been for the lovely camera treatment a few times but look forward to the already scheduled photo op's. Whatever they give you just before you say cheese feels great, can't remember a damn thing except that it felt great and I was awake the whole time. Guest was right, you lay on your left side.

All the best.

Bob F

Bob Flowers, don't feel bad about having to use an older photo of yourself when you were 20 lbs lighter. The only photo I could find of myself was the one at left taken while I was asleep.

I am ambidextrous and sleep on my right side. I also have serious GERD which has caused a myriad of problems. My ENT/Voice Wellness Doc has never advised either side for sleep or for endoscopy. Her technique for viewing the esophagus is also different than most...ie small camera up and down the turbinates (in the nose) and down the old GI tract. This is actually preferable to the older way with twilight drugs, large tubes etc. . .grin!
Sleeping on my right is also more comfortable for some reason....

Lying on the left side decreases the pressure on the Vena Cava.

Good thing I'm so far from Timmy's and Harvey's or I'd weigh a lot more than 20 lbs more than that picture!

WAFlowers...I'm sure 20 lbs on you wouldn't make too much difference...men seem to be able to add an extra 20 without looking to bad....more of you for your wife too hug.

Rigby...what is the Vena Cava?

The Vena Cava is the biggest vein in your body - runs right up the middle, slightly to the right. Takes blood back to the lungs to get more oxygen. When you lie on your left side, it takes the pressure off the vein, especially if you're overweight or pregnant.

I always thought Vena Cava was a fancy coffee from Venice...

Actually, according to dictionary.com, vena cava is "Either of two large veins that drain blood from the upper body and from the lower body and empty into the right atrium of the heart."

Not quite a fancy coffee. lol
