Yeah I wouldn't put my CPAP near the heat register, but I live in an old house and those registers are full of dust and other crap.

Sometimes in those condo or apartment buildings the exhaust fan ductwork will be connected, so if you live above someone, stink from their place could come into your place through that ductwork.

They also have a lot of stupid rules. I lived in a condo complex once, it was awful all the petty rules they had. That's one good thing about owning a house, you can do pretty much what you want, although the city has a short list of petty rules as well.
TheDreamer wrote:Hmmm, now you have me thinking about where my CPAP is....its not on the floor, but its down low....

But, what has me thinking is that I was thinking of turning my bed around, which would move the CPAP closer to the floor register....and it has me wondering if I should be worried about the stuff that might be coming up through there. Often there are strange smells and such coming from my neighbors....sometimes they are pretty bad. The air purifier in my bedroom has an odor sensor...so it'll rev up to maximum, which it does at various (unexpected) times during the night.

There are other times, where I wouldn't expect it to do so...but I've gotten to expect it to do it....makes me wonder where the bathroom exhaust fans really goes to.

The bed position is basically where the movers put it when I moved in....which kind of sucks because the light in the apartment parking lot shines right on the bedroom window. So sometimes I find that spot where the light cuts a beam into my eye. It was strange, when I first moved in...I had put aluminum foil in my luggage in case I needed to cover the windows with it. Though when I first moved in the parking lot didn't exist yet. So the foil went up later....except that there's some silly rule that window coverings have to appear white from the outside. Yet I see plenty of cases of non-white window coverings...including a Canadian Flag. But, they probably didn't like me reflecting the parking lot light back....

I got better curtains...but, I didn't get the measurements right....

Hmm, where did the original post that started this thread off go?

I read it... I know it existed... I am no longer in a fog... yes I did read it.

I see a trend starting to develop...

I've often had nobody come on to me. In fact for most of my life, nobody has come on to me, in a fairly consistent manner.

nope, i am married. In fact I would not have a problem coming out if I was gay. I am just sayin I am not, I am flattered that you show so much interest, but no thanks. No homophobia, I think gays have great style, and most of the ones I know are hilarious. I am just not interested is all. Even if I was gay, I still wouldn't be interested in you. SORRY!

Now that I'm on CPAP, I have been thinking more and more that maybe I should've gotten a house...even though I don't like yard work (and not driving complicates things).

But, selling my condo will be next to impossible. Especially given the high vacancies in the building....if I were looking to buy a condo in this complex again....I'd more likely go for a new one rather than mine. Plus I don't think I could afford to buy into a house now....the economy has erased the down payment that I had made on this condo. ....

I don't think that home ownership is the great investment it's cracked up to be. You got all this interest to pay plus maintenance, insurance and property taxes. It really adds up. Nevermind that this market has caused my house to be worth less than the amount I still owe on it. If it weren't for my pets I'd rather live in a rental and put my money into other investments.

I use the Bionairre 5000 Megatron De-Ionizer which requires a seperate generator for power. I run the machine for two hours before I even enter my bedroom to make sure every last dust particle has been zapped. I have no paper products which produce dust and few electronics, which attract and hold dust. If I am about to enter a place of business or a friend's home that has carpetting, I just say "No thanks, I'll pass".

When I started CPAP, I was fortunate enough to already have a nightstand with a bookshelf about a foot off the floor. I simply moved the books (I never read in bed anyway!) and my Remstar/humid and pwr supply fit perfectly. The travel case is on the floor underneath with my backup mask and a jar of Citrus wipes in it. The radio, my glasses and eyedrops, and a box of tissues remain on the top.

Which still leaves a drawer for all the kinky sex toys! JUST KIDDING!!!
