Aye, but it is. It truly is!

Time for another update to this thread!!

I've mentioned having had surgery for endometrial cancer on 7 April 2008. For my first two years, I had to have labs every four months. All of them were NEGATIVE.

At my visit in January 2010, the oncologist told me it could now be every six months. And that the labs could be done by my regular gynecologist -- that she (the oncologist) didn't think I needed her any more!

I have just received my results for the June 2012 labs -- NEGATIVE!

Only ONE more year until I can be declared cancer-free... and take the dream vacation Harry and I have been thinking of through the Canadian Rockies... on the Rocky Mountaineer.

Yeah, it's one of those weird things, when a NEGATIVE become positive!

I go along just fine in between the labs, and then I get nervous. And gnaw my fingernails until I get the results...

WooHoo! I know exactly how good it feels to get that all clear notice from the Doc. My wife keeps getting her all clears, and it feels like a little more weight lifted off every time!

I get twitchy every time it's time for another set of labs, until I get the results. It took ten days this time -- and I had to call them. My husband tells me that if something was wrong, they would call me at once, and therefore, no news is good news. It doesn't help.

Not quite YET.... I did look! But they aren't accepting reservations for next year yet.

Guess I better start saving up! (Not that I haven't been, actually.....)

Congratulations!
Yes waiting for lab test can be so nerve wracking! Found a lump once, it turned out ok but waiting was a bitch.

Next year I want to go with the knitting group to Jasper in the special train from Edmonton for the long weekend. This year I couldn't get away. Hopefully next year it will be possible.
