All,

I say we bestow the title "Dame Rested Gal". Reworked mask for the crown. Not sure we should go through with the tapping the sword on the shoulders thing. I'm not sure I'd trust some here with sharp objects . Thank you R.G. for your help.

Use a hose for tapping, pantyhose straps for a sash...

I was thinking more along the lines of Queen mum, or perhaps Czarina or Empress...

Seriously, I apprieciate your advice and the example you give of not just learning how to make CPAP work but of how to put the newbies and their problems first. I envy you your knowledge, experiance and patience. Thanks for all you do.

Alan

When people Google Cpap Laura's name should come up. She's a wealth of knowledge with a heart of gold sharing it with anyone in need of good sound advice. I hope she's here for a long, long time.

I first met laura at another site. You know, that one that likes to censor everything. I was pre-cpap back then and looking for information.

Laura provided me enough to get this process going. She is very patient with all of us. She has been a big asset to this and other apnea sites.

The other day I ran a Web search on "rested gal" with the date of my computer accidentally set two years ahead, to 2011, and the first hit was "Rested Gal branded extra-strength knee-highs, for fashionable CPAPers of all genders who need to hold it all in place."

How did I miss this thread?

RG, I don't know what I would have done without you. You helped me learn to take control of my own therapy, get an auto from my doctor, find out where to buy the software and card reader I needed, use pantyhose to keep my mask on my face, and (finally - when I listened!) to start using a Headrest, for which I will always be ETERNALLY grateful. You've done many other things for me as well, and I don't even want to THINK about where I'd be therapy-wise without you. Thank you so much for all the help you've given me, and everyone else here as well.

Dame Rested Gal, you have my gratitude for all your kindness to me and all the others who so needed some guidance during very trying times. I also have to sing the praises of Hawthorne and my "little bro" Den (wulfman). Where would my husband and I be without them, non-complaint I'm sure. Thank you.

Thanks DoriC - Again, I am honoured to be included in a thread dedicated to Rested Gal!

She was one of my individual mentors too when I first got involved in managing my own therapy!

I just "give back" for all that I have received on this forum and now, DoriC, I see that you are doing the same!!

That's thanks enough for me!

Laura,

I have been away from this forum for a few months. Upon opening the site today, this was the thread that caught my eye first. Thank you very much, Rested gal. You have been most helpful!

I would like to say a few words to the "Rested Gal"

Mere words cannot describe your witty "Quips"

Many words cannot describe your compassion.

And I say a few words to you each night: As I am winding tights around my mask, & tape over my mouth.. I thank you for being a creative genius; & ask,"How did you ever think of using tights & tape?"

R.G. One month ago my leak rate was in the 0.60'L's. Currently using your Tape&Tight's brainstorm,
it is 0.08L's.
