Has anyone had success finding a quality USB IR webcam? All the ones on Amazon are cheap and get horrible reviews.

I couldn't find that one, but I did find a different model online for 4000 yen, less than 20% of what I paid for the sleep study... And I'd see results right away (I am currently in a very annoying 2-week waiting period for my PSG to be scored)
Might actually be worth doing, to compare sleep pre- and post-CPAP...
I was able to track it down in the US...

Try the Lorex DVM5031....IR and USB connection a whopping $25 from tigerdirect.com

I am finding very useful correlating my ResMed ResScan data, my CMS50E oximetry data, and my webcam data. One, small technical challenge at the moment is to incorporate audio. Using yawcam, I get nice, small jpegs every 60 seconds through the recording period but no sound. I use the webcam on my netbook which netbook also has a built-in microphone. I looked at various freeware products for audio plus video recording but none seemed to do the job I needed, and I was reluctant to buy software without knowing whether it would work for me. What software are others using for webcam and audio recording of a multi-hour sleep period where one wants to identify changes across the night and not try to record high-fidelity constantly?
