I'm planning to get ACR38 card reader but i'm bit confused about specifications.
Is essential that the reader is a "non CCID", "non SAT"?
There's a few listed at ebay, but I don't what's the exact that fits Resmed smartcard.

I am looking at the ACR-38 at the scdeveloper.com site.
When you go to purchase the card it asks if you want:
1. STD - No SAM
2. CCID No SAM +$5.00
3. w/ SAM Module +$10.00
Can someone please help me with this? I have no idea which one I need. Thanks!

Derek,
Review previous posts in this thread.
You need the Non CCID, Non SAM Model, see this post:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64673&p=603330#p603330
This is an older model and can be identified by serial number. (see post)
It will not be an exact fit, but a guide can be made to make the fit easier. (see the post for links)
This information applies to S8 Resmed models only

Derek, there is no way to know by looking at a picture whether it will work or not. They look the same. As far as I know, the boiler plate spec language is also the same for the ones that work and the ones that don't. The only way I know to tell whether it will work is by serial number. Those that work begin with R000. Those that don't begin with R052. Those that work are usually labeled by the seller as non-CCID and have firmware version FW 110. You must contact the seller to verify the product.

The specs listed in the description auction text include CCID...... so probably not.
