I wonder what affect a really long hose run (like 18') would have on a RemStar Auto w/ CFlex?

My thought is to run a spare 10' hose I have, straight up from the humidifier to the ceiling and back down to where I would connect it up to the 8' hose I normally use. The run to the ceiling should/might allow the air in the hose to reach room-temperature while any excess water that condenses out would run back down into the humidifier.

Ideally, the lowest point of the hose run would be the connection between the 2 hoses, where I could put some sort of moisture trap (like you use between air compressors and airbrushes).

Just a thought (yes, I probably have way too much time on my hands! <grin>)...

I'm not sure, but I don't think any autopaps recommend using a hose longer than 10 feet.
