Like all who saw this notice before me, I am shocked and deeply saddened. Snoredog shared his knowledge generously, and his knowledge was vast. He helped me a great deal during the short time I "knew" him on this forum. I will truly miss learning from him, and reading his witty tete-a tete's with other members. I appreciate the time I had with him here, and will miss him. Prayers, hugs and jingles to Snoredog's family as they deal with their difficult loss!

Oh, Snoredog. . . .

Christen and Ali, your father was a great help to many people, including me. I was a newcomer to this list, and your father was one of the folks who helped me understand my therapy better. Just two days before he left us, he posted a very helpful reply to one of my long, involved questions.

Thank you to all who posted links to his legacy.com page and especially his "dizzy's shop" page. Reading his notes regarding the homemade jointer jig made me understand his attention to detail and tolerances that much more. And his cyclone jig and how he modified the impeller unit . . . weIl, it's no wonder that he became so interested in getting the most out of his xPAP machine and his therapy and in sharing his knowledge with others.

I'll sure miss his presence here on the forum.

My heart goes out to the two of you, his mother, brothers, and Gizmo. . . .

My warm condolences to you and your family. Like so many others that have already posted, I just want to say that your father was generous, candid, funny and made my life better, healthier and happier in just a few interactions. He will be missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

There are a core group of people who make this site run and who help so many people. Your dad was one of them and so many of us are thankful for what he did.

More importantly now for the two of you, is to know that you come from someone very special and whose values are etched throughout your brains. You will see that as you get older, the quality that you are becomes so important to your quality of life and those people who can give and have friends live much happier lives. Your dad was a friend to so many.

I had a hard time facing the reality of this thread. never got to meet the jokester , woodworker , father & helper of his fellow man with his sage wit and wisdom. May his family find comfort in the words of all his cyber friends like me that never had the chance to meet the man Snoredog. tim

I cannot belive this!! Snoredog gone?? He was one of the most helpful people on this site. He ALWAYS answered my sometimes stupid questions in such detail and with humor. He really was such a vital part of this site. I always knew that if I had a question that nobody else seemed to be able to answer he would be able to. I am shocked and saddened. Thank you very much to everyone who has so lovingly replied to our post. Your support and kind words have been very comforting to our family and have affirmed a daughter's pride in her father . My dad was one of my best friends and I knew how important this forum was to him; he would be deeply touched by your thoughts. Through him, I have begun to understand your trials and tribulations with OSA and wish you all success with CPAP therapy in the future...just as he wished for you. Now that he is gone, may he live in our hearts.

Cristen, Ali and the rest of the family as well. Never fear, your father will live on in our hearts and our minds as well as this forum for years to come.

Snoredog always had good advice and was a source of comfort and support when I needed it most. I hope his off-line family takes comfort in the amazing good works that he did here, and my sympathies to the on-line family that will surely be poorer for his loss.

Wherever you are Snoredog, thanks for all the help you gave me. I'll raise my glass for you tonight.

I saw the post shortly after it was posted. I kept thinking --it can't be our snoredog!! There has to be a mistake!! Maybe, just maybe it is someone else.

I ended up replying about 15 mintues or so after the original post. I was utterly stunned and simply could not believe that snoredog would no longer be posting. I checked his past posts and read the last post he made. I wanted to set here in front of the computer and cry.

He will be so sorely missed by all here on the forum. No matter what -- snoredog was there for newbies as well as for those that have been around awhile. He could be really gruff, but I often thought it was a facade to snap people into action. I know he got my attention more than once with his sage advice and his wisdom when reading his posts.

I envisioned someone much older due to his wisdom and style. Many of us looked up to snoredog as a role model and teacher. Even when one didn't understand and needed further assistance he was willing to be there for you.

May he rest in peace and his legacy will live on in his family and on the forum.

My sympathies to John's family and Rest in peace John, I didn't get the time to know you in the 4 months i have been on the machine, but read alot of your posts and can see you had a wonderful following of caring friends.Rest in Peace

I see with your post that it was indeed SnoreDog that died. I lost my own father not that long ago and can understand a bit of your loss. SnoreDog will be missed so very much. Thank you for letting us know. Since you have an account (SnorePup) does this mean you will be a part of our community? Does this mean that you have apnea?

Thank you so much for letting us know. I'm happy to know that his family was aware of his CPAPtalk community. I will miss him very much but will take with me all the knowledge he gave me and will refer to his posts for additional knowledge I may need in the future, thinking of him often. It speaks to what a great dad he must have been to have two daughters who have taken the time to let us know, showing us how caring you must be. Thank you so much.

For this community, I feel a great loss of knowledge and wisdom he offered to all who visit this forum.
For his family, I feel his loss is greater.
