Speaking of bailouts ... can you guess what other too-big-to-fail industry will be in line for social handouts?
Can you say insurance industry?

Ya I know but I was thinking more along the lines of BCBS, Aetna, Humana, Unicare, etc.
The treasury barn doors have been left wide open and the US mint is working overtime to keep up with the flow of tax dollars out of the barn.

The news media is making this story out to be "shocking", but when I thought about it, it sounds like "politics as usual" to me. How many votes were changed in the initial "bailout" legislation......after they added more "pork" (earmarks) to it?
The prisons have been getting only a few of those that deserve to be there. I've been saying for years, that if the "secrets" of what has been going on in politics (all levels) were actually known, there would be another "revolution" in this country.
The scumbags have been selling out our country for years and years.

Ok - I must be a moron then.
After my insurance company denied my equipment until January, I decided to go out on my own and purchase a machine.
The DME was willing to sell me the "used" one I had for 3 weeks at $500.00. I found one on cpap auction for $107.00.
They charged me $42.00 for the hose, $9.00 for a filter, and TRIED to bill me for a humidifier for $1100.00 when the machine had an integrated humidifier, which the billing department had no idea was possible -- they kept trying to tell me the invoice said machine with humidifier -- and I said yes, it had a humidifier, but it was PART of the machine. They finally had to get their manager to bring one of the machines to them so they could see what the heck they were supposed to be billing people for.
So, I ask you -- who or whom is the moron - me or them??
Also, they tried to bill me for 2 months usage of the machine when I had it for 3 weeks -- I threatened them with the Better Business Bureau, and they backed down right away.
Now, put a little old lady on the same phone call, confuse her a bit, and I bet they would get every penny they billed her, whether it was right or wrong.
I have alot of issues with these medical companies -- after spending time in the waiting room, I heard how they talked to some of the elderly customers, and I think it was awful.
I will never deal with them again -- I will purchase my equipment outright.

lets not forget the lovely lovely Pharmaceutical companies they are equally liable they charge pretty much whatever they want cause in most cases we have no choice but to pay it, the sad part is from the looks of it the Gas and oil companies may have figured this out too!!!!
I pay something close to $200 for a 30 day supply of my provigil (which works great with my cpap by the way!!) thats with insurance and after co-payment!!!!!

Awhile back I tried Provigil and researched it a bit on the net.
I found places to get it from India for $2 a pill instead of about $13 dollars from American pharmacies.
People on the forum said it was more potent than the American and they were quite happy with it.
