If anybody is wondering what a device like this might feel like: as a very rough approximation only, partially pinch your nostrils closed during exhale only.

I just used my last sample to get the sensation right. I compare the feeling to putting the tips of your thumb and forefinger almost entirely covering your nostrils when you exhale. I'm a strong, pretty athletic person, so it's not like it's a frailty issue! At least inhaling is easy!

not that there aren't other cases where they sink big money into a bunch of loser companies, but i've got to believe that the big venture capital firms behind Ventus has some reason to believe this would work for some part of the population.

Might be handy for a nap or in a pinch.

In the About Us section of this new device's website, it looks as if they've got other stuff in the works, besides these. anybody know what else they're up to?

I looked at the exclusion list and about rolled on the floor I was laughing so hard......I almost appears that if you're human, you're excluded!!!! If you have OSA, they don't want to test you......
I have very high hopes that someday, somewhere, someone will come up with a way to replace the xPAP machines, masks et.al....I looked at the sleep center info at Stanford (a sleep center I'm very familiar with and have a great deal of respect for) and didn't find any reference to the clinical study at all.....I'll have to poke around a little....
I anxiously await the results, but I ain't holdin' my breath!!!!
cheers

Nope. Poked for a bit, but didn't find anything.....
I will have to say, that does not mean it's not there somewhere, but only that in my search I didn't find it.....
After an hour or so I went on to other things, and quite honestly haven't revisited since.....
cheers

Does it come with monitoring software (i.e., "Provent Pro")?
Is there monitoring software software (i.e., "Provent Pro Analyzer")?
All That, And It's Disposable Too?
If it looks like this thing will hit the market in any great force, buy 3M Blue Painter's Tape futures.
