Walmart didn't have any "painter tape", but they did have duct tape in blue.
I guess I should have shaved my moustache before using it. The good news is I'll never have to shave that part of my face again! Eeeeeeeyouch!
But I'm still a bit confused. Why does the tape have to be blue?

I'm kidding, of course...
Blue painter's tape worked just fine. (And Walmart DOES carry it, for the record.)

Thanks... funny stuff!!
The answer to your question is easy... the tape needs to be blue so it matches those lovely blue lights on your cpap machine!!

So, I spent all stinking day at Gettysburg in the freezing cold with my telephoto lenses, and NOBODY SHOWED UP!!!!! 'Sup wi' dat?!!!
I do not tape at night; I use the cheapest sports-style sweatbands I can find to keep my lips shut while I sleep.
I sometimes get the feeling my wife wishes I wore them that way during the daytime too.

Songbird wrote:SWS, please accept my most sincere apology. Seems my bizarro sense of what's funny only caused trouble and hurt people, with you at the top of the list, and I'm going to regret that for a very long time.
Marsha, I'll make this kinda short since my sore throat is still raging and I feel more or less like a walking zombie.
There's absolutely
no need for you to apologize, although it was kind of you to do so. Your humor didn't hurt me. When I tried to carefully analyze your banter I duly noted what seemed like two distinct possibilities: 1) you were offended or angered by my dairy post (which is why I pulled that post just to be on the safe side), or 2) ADD-typical interactive
"over intensity". But I also realized that second possibility could be understandably heightened by your having significantly decreased your Adderall dosage to cope with yet other extremely important health factors.
So I saw that either my
own humor had once again missed the mark, or your banter was very understandably focused and intensified for yet other reasons. Marsha, in my view that second possibility neither enhances nor detracts from a good friendship. Nor do I see it as a flaw or strength. Rather, I perceive it as a paper thin piece or slice of reality to simply be accommodated---exactly as all my old message board friends have accommodated my unique facets. Some of those facets are perhaps worth celebrating, while others are undoubtedly simply silently accommodated.
This message board has an abundance of
character and
strength because we have always tried hard to accommodate the former while nurturing the latter. And that banter of yours was so strong and full of character that I think we shall just have to gladly accommodate it, exactly as we tend to do around here.
Now please let me crawl into bed and sleep off the "Million Microbe March"---that raucous microscopic rally that is convening deep within as I type.
p.s. Two unbelievably hyperactive and far-fetched mooooooovies presumably sponsored by Walgreens:

Marsha, whew I'm glad this is all sorted out. Don't worry, you did not offend me in the slightest, I just felt bad that the whole conversation seemed to be going downhill very fast. In the meantime, I think I've gotten to know your sense of humor a bit better now.
Happy lubricating everyone (I cannot wait to get my hands on my new liberty so I too can start milking my nose)

I did too. And I have always loved Marsha's sense of humor BIG time, and continue to! One of the best I have ever read... and that I hope to
always read!
As a side note years ago I always used a hand creme called Udderly Smooth. The Udderly Smooth container had those classic black-and-white cow polka dots. That product received both its name and packaging from it's heritage: Udderly Smooth truly started off as udder creme for cows. It got to the point where the only place I could find the product locally was Walgreens---long before AstroGlides ever graced their shelves. I preferred that product above all others because the others turned my hands ever redder, apparently from chemical irritation of some kind. Unfortunately our Walgreens quit carrying the product. Fortunately when CPAP finally entered the equation, the skin on my hands quit having redness and flaking problems for the first time in twenty-some years. Go figure. Hypoxemia related perhaps. And a very happy "go figure" at that.

One of the very few hand cremes that didn't cause allergic redness

What
very surprisingly turned out
to be the ultimate solution for my hands

Silky smooth hands... what a great advertising campaign that would make for xPAP... especially for the men-folk.
I like Bert's bees hand lotion personally.

Was just getting ready to ask about that product.... but assumed it was none of my "bees-wax" so to speak.

Now that is really letting the cat out of the bag.
Just before -SWS got his 103 fever, he was spending some sleepless nights with a 30 year old who had pneumonia. Her boyfriend thinks he was trying to save her life.

While echo----waaay over yonder in Europe---has aspiration pneumonia, the humongous horse pills the doctor gave me today are used to treat bacterial respiratory infections---including various S pneumoniae strains. OutaSync gets credit for sending me a stern email this morning telling me to see the doctor. The symptoms actually started very slowly, shortly after Thanksgiving, and she was aware of that detail. SAG's intuitive "whoa" comment made me think twice about my flawed strategy of just waiting it out to naturally heal as well.
Also wondering where our favorite babs is, Den...
