I think you're turning into the Borg.
Seriously, you have the patience of an angel. I think either your particular device is screwed, or it's extremely sensitive, or you're moving much more during the day than you think you are. Your night-time numbers look better already..... I'm not sure how much I would trust your device though, to be honest. Maybe you should ask for a replacement (as you say, loose wire or something).
Edit: It would be interesting to correlate the overnight pulse-ox with any sleep-related respiratory events (ie. post a chart girl ).
