Seriously, you have the patience of an angel. I think either your particular device is screwed, or it's extremely sensitive, or you're moving much more during the day than you think you are. Your night-time numbers look better already..... I'm not sure how much I would trust your device though, to be honest. Maybe you should ask for a replacement (as you say, loose wire or something).

Edit: It would be interesting to correlate the overnight pulse-ox with any sleep-related respiratory events (ie. post a chart girl ).

I don't have the download of my 24 hr pulse/oximeter test on the borrowed unit, yet, but here is the CMS-60D report from last night....This unit seems to be very sensitive to movement, or else it has a loose wire somewhere. The numbers were wildly different for some of the time and nearly identical for some of the time. I understand the difference between a 1 second and a four second recording time (I think)...

Hi Bev, If you have not got the data for the lab units, what do you mean by 'wildly different...'. Do you mean you see more variation and spikes during the day time?

Your night time graph looks ok to me; I would assume you lost proper sensor contact during ~22:15-23:15. If you take that data of spo2, and avarage every 4 samples, I would predict you would not see most of the remaining big variation. You had O2>92% almost all the time.

Did you try to correlate with the A's H's events during the exact same time?

During the day time there is lot more variation; clearly not sleep related... I would think that is motion related. But, you may also be holding breath unknowingly or some medical condition that needs to be looked into. Again you can't compare until the data from the lab. BTW, it took over 3 weeks for me to get the lab data, because by doc went on vacation in the middle, and the transferred paperwork was lost once between the dme and the doc's office (problem at the doc's office).

Everytime there is a disconnect, whether I'm moving or not, it seems to require a couple of minutes to get back on track.

If the 'good sensor position' comes back it usually takes only about 10-15 secs here to get the data back. So either contact is remaining bad, your finger is getting pinched to reduce the pulse amplitude to be too low for the meter, or you may have a bad meter. BTW, even after you get the lab data, you would see variation in both directions: I also had the lab meter losing data when the -60D recorded normal looking data; I assumed it was the difference in the two finger movements. I had arranged by schduling it over a weekend, to actually get 4 nights worth of comparison; my conclusion was these meters are at best very coarse (including the lab one), only repeated testing will yield you any reliable picture; which no doctor is going to do.
