I shouldn't reply...I'm only going to bait our favorite toxic posters...but I'm going to anyway.

This was precisely the reason I stopped posting in this forum. I continuously felt attacked by said posters, and yes, I took it personally. On and off for the last year or so, I've checked in on this forum and read once or twice a month, but only posted two or three times, when I felt compelled to. I even one time, out of curiosity, searched for any references to me in posts here - and they were STILL bringing me up, months later, and attacking me, despite the fact I wasn't around posting anymore. The "paranoia" comment someone made earlier in this thread is spot on - one of them even made a comment that I was probably still around posting under other usernames. Give me a break. Seriously. You're not that important.

In a way, it's lucky for me that all this negativity seems to have come to a head over the last couple of weeks, both in this thread and another which I won't name because I think it's better for it not to be resurrected.

Here's why: this was a lightbulb moment for me (no relation to the lightbulb at the top of the forum) - it's not me. I'm not doing anything wrong. These people are who they are, and they're like this to EVERYONE, no matter how good/helpful/knowledgeable the people they're attacking are.

So....they're powerless now. Continue to attack me if you like, if it makes you feel better, if it makes you feel big to pick me up and worry me like a chew toy. You can't hurt me anymore, try as I'm sure you will, and it's more important for me to be here, able to put in my two cents when I can help someone, than it is for me to avoid your narcissistic brutality.

Have a lovely day.

You are absolutely right Collegegirl! It is unfortunate that these folks who often are "knowledgeable" kind of destroy their credibility and any trust others may have had in them when they personally attack others! We all have bad days but as pointed out earlier there are some here that have a history of these attacks.

I know I posted information or thoughts others have not agreed with and I am not above retracting or apologizing for any misunderstanding, comment etc. Hey my mom taught me to fess up to mistakes and to seek forgiveness when I wronged someone.

I also believe some of these folks have such a dry or dark sense of humor that some don't understand and take their comments seriously. But you know what folks those emoticons are a great hint!

Horny Rooster? Isn't that what they refer to as a redundancy?

Ginny, I hope that means you will start posting again regularly!!! So good to see you! You've helped a lot of people in the past. There are always new people arriving on the board who would really appreciate it. You've sure been missed!

Hahaha, yes, Rooster, I suppose that means I'm memorable!

RG - yeah, I'm going to post whenever I think I can help. I've got a lot of reading up to do, however - technology has changed even in the year I've been gone! Now to read up on Aflex... time for some assigned reading!

Hey Ginny,
Welcome back -- wondered where you were......
I try to ignore the negative aspects I find here -- they're everywhere you look in life -- and if you let 'em, they'll get ya down.....
Negative energy is so draining -- much less work to be positive!!!!
I just figure I have something positive to offer people, even if it's nothing more than a smile - so I continue to hang out......besides, I've received so much here, I feel obligated to give back......just me.....
You have a lot to offer CG -- happy to "hear your voice".....

take care
cheers

Hi CollegeGirl, I'm in the "Wives Club" and still learning every day how to help my dear husband. Everyone has been wonderful to me but I'm getting to know who's who around here, and which posters will help the most, but you must be someone "special" from the welcome back you're getting. I look forward to continuing my education with you. Dori
