Does anyone know if there are silk pillowcases for the pillows made specifically for CPAP machines? If so, can you tell me where I can buy one? Thank you.

Check somewhere like Marshalls, Home goods, TJ maxx, or bed bath and beyond.

Often what folks think of as silk is actually satin. Silk is a lot more delicate.

There’s also amazon. this is one of many with a variety of colors available.

As I understand it:

Silk (a material) is not the same as satin (a weave), and the two get confused on Amazon quite a bit by the foreign copy writers. Make sure you know what you are ordering.

For example, the link just given (https://a.co/d/htxJwCy) says in the description "100% polyester satin," which implies zero silk content.

Perhaps these are actual silk, if that's what's desired?:

I'm sure there's a joke in here somewhere about a zombie thread on literal thread material, but I'm too lazy to find it.

I have never seen a silk (or satin) pillowcase designed to fit a cpap pillow with those cutouts and stuff.
Now if someone can use any other regular bed pillow with their cpap use....any number of silk pillowcases out there available and not horribly expensive either.

I am using a silk pillowcase right now (using it to help me keep my eyelash extensions from rubbing off) on my regular bed pillow.

Aye- I know they aren’t the same. But sometimes people interchange the nomenclature freely without realizing there’s a different. (especially women of a certain age that use it to keep their hair tidy).

The distinction is significant from a fabric point of view. Both of them tend to have that slippery sheen.

Edit: What I actually said was “Often what folks think of as silk is actually satin. Silk is a lot more delicate. “.

Yep. And I have no idea which one is better for any individual papper, although I assume some forms of satin may stay cooler for women dealing with, uh, thermostat issues, may be easier to take care of, and may last longer. I guess some prefer pure silk fabrics nevertheless.

My concern was Amazon's too-often-sloppy wording, not your wording. Amazon descriptions drive me bananas because they often include words in primary descriptions to get hits, even though the more detailed descriptions often completely contradict that wording.

But I guess that's the least of Amazon's problems these days. Maybe the former Twitter employees, former Meta employees, and former Amazon employees can all find a way to start their own company soon.

:::shoots him a sideways glance and considers shaking a finger at him:::: (no, not the middle one. lol)

JFTR polyester can be hot and silk is weirdly one of the warmest fibers out there. I love my wintersilks! So toasty and take up next to nothing in terms of space under the rest of your clothes.

Hopefully the OP will pay particular attention to the fiber makeup if he/she buys them somewhere. Here is a decent explainer for the OP of the differences and similarities: https://www.byrdie.com/satin-pillowcase ... ir-5189103 (it is just one of many out there and not what I claim is gospel but should be helpful)
