Because I opened the thread and it had my name under the guest. I have seen it many times before with other names and asked about it a long time ago when a post had another users name and I asked what was up. That user informed me that if a poster has the same internet provider it will do that as it did to him. I am leaving this board as a member. I have asked to be removed from cpaptalk and cpapauctions and I hope my request is granted by Johnny. I have deleted every post I ever made and yes -SWS I know that anything negative I ever said is saved in the quotes.

Thanks to those of you who have helped me in the past. I apologize to tomjax for a particularly mean sprited post I made a long time ago as I apologized then - you can find it quoted -SWS and post it here again if you wish. I apologize to snoredog who I greatly admire and was usually ribbing.

I have my bad days and for those that never do, I admire you.

Advice for any new posters, if you say something you regret good luck ever living it down here. I hope I never run for office.

It is same IP number that gets tracked, not just internet provider. If you want to check what your number is you can go to http://network-tools.com/ (as well as many other sites) and your IP number will appear in that little box.

Some Internet services don't actually send your real IP onto sites; some do. AOL dial up was one that doesn't, however I bet that your ISP does send out the correct IP number.

Where I live there is only one ISP that offers anything faster than dial up and they haven't changed my IP number in over 2 years. They won't even change it if I ask them to. I have in the past when was experiencing hacking attempts through the router until I changed the router password to something even I don't know (but I have written down somewhere).

I don't have a static IP and I know enough to post ANON if I want to Jules and see my Avatar ...

BTW, everybody getting ready for the holidays? I going to make a nice centerpiece for Thanksgiving. Just take some small gourds, colorful leaves and surround a couple of scented candles with them, securing them with a hot glue gun. I think it's going to come out lovely! I having company for dinner, and you know me, I get so nervous! I want things to be just so!
