YES, does anyone have that one? Wondering how it works? Compares? I just wish it was longer than 69in. or closer to 96in. How wide is it?

They said in the Resmed cover there wasn't enuff room.

Hi Guest, I have used this hose cover for almost a year now. No, there is not enough room for another layer. My Respironics and Resmed hoses fit snug inside it. Barely lets my heater cable fit and still be a little loose. Since I have not used any fleece covers, unfortunately I cannot compare the two; but I really do like the PapPillow brand one that I have. It is quilted cotton, very soft and as far as I can tell, works great and does what it is supposed to do. I have my room very cold most of the time, so , yes, I do still get some rain-out. But very little. Depending on the mask used, pillows seem to be worse for rain-out than masks with cushions. I have considered making another layer of fleece to go over the zippered cover and see if that would help.

But do you think that cover needs another layer? I thought it was double-quilted? How long is it? 8ft or 10ft?

Befor you add another layer to the main hose, try insulating the narrow hose that conects the nasal pillows mask to the main hose. For me it was more effective in eliminating rainout than an additional cover on the main (heated) hose. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Snuggl ... ystem.html
I use it on my deconstructed Headrest.

The Snuggle hose cover I bought 3 years ago does fit over my Aussie heated hose. Although my hose is for a Puritan Bennet machine, I have no reason the think its thinner than a starndard hose. I haven't tried a recently bought Snuggle hose cover.

I've discovered that for summer time, insulating the narrow hose that connects my mask (deoncstructed Headrest) to the main hose lets me use the Aussie heated hose without an additional cover - the temprature isn't as hight, which is good in the hot summer nights. I don't know how it will work in winter - I assume I will need the main hose covered then. I'll post about that when I know.

A Snuggle hose on a Heated Hose is not easy to install or remove but In previous winters it was absolutely necssary in my case.

The PAPillow type looks great.

I'm glad I logged on and found this topic. I just ordered a zippered hose cover, I have the snuggle hose cover but it's not as easy to get on after I wash it and the other one looked like it might be a little thicker. Now my next purchase is going to be an aussie heated hose, wow I can't wait to get that! It gets cold in the winter and I can't stand that cold air going up my nose, it hurts! In the summer my hubby likes it cold so it will be great anytime of the year for me. You got to love this forum!!

Zippered hose sounded like a great idea, easy on/off. Bought one. Can't use it because it makes the hose too stiff and the hose doesn't drape softly over the headboard. Oh, well!

It can be hard to get the rubberish end of the hose through fleece. However, I have found using the slippery nylon exterior material of ResMed's zippered hose cover slips right through the fleece cover. I'm using both right now.

My best friend knitted me a long skinny "snake-sweater" for my hose. It works great except for now, the two months in Minnesota when it's down to 40 at night in my bed room and my crazy husband won't let me turn on the heat because it's in the 60s during the day. I figure the 50 degree difference between my breath and the room are just too much for even the wool hose-cosy.

I have also had good luck wrapping a polar fleece blanket around my hose and holding it steady with a few rubber bands.

i bought an inexpensive fleece throw for $4.00 cut into strips and ziz zaged stitch with sewing maachine ,this gives me 5 fleece covers I put a sock over hose to thread threw sleeve and secured with rubber band the throw i purchased was 60inches by 50inches this is a little short but i don't need the last few inches covered

Interesting to hear that the Resmed zippered hose cover makes the tubing stiff... I was concerned about that after viewing a sample of this cover at the DME last week. I think keeping the hose flexible and light as possible reduces tugging on the mask which in turn reduces potential for increased leakage.

I am using a hose suspension system called the 1250 Hose Lift with the zippered hose covering and I am not having any problems with the hose pulling or tugging on my mask. Maybe the material slides easier through the little hanger circles than it does over a headboard??

Paul, it was never specified whether that "stiffness" was with a ResMed or a PapPillow cover. Still waiting to hear back from "Guest" on that. My guess is that the quilted PaPillow cover would be less flexible.

I agree that the ResMed zippered hose cover makes the hose a bit stiff. I used it before and after using the travel buddy hose hanger. I didn't find it dragged on the mask. However, I did find it was a bit noisy as the material rubbed against bedding fabric - that nylon against cotton sound.

Anyway, I think it's the plastic zipper that contributes to the stiffness versus the material and it's the nylon type material that makes the noise.

Since the zippered hose cover slips so easily through the fleece hose cover - I'm happy with the best of both worlds : )
