Does that mean that years of loud snoring may tramatize the nerves in the throat resulting in collapse and osa?

If so they need to find a way to stop the snoring!

The way to stop it is PAP therapy, I guess.

And I think -SWS is absolutely 100% right on the money with his insightful assessment of the hyperbole and spin in clinic marketing literature. I don't see how OSA could really be called a progressive disease in the strict medical sense of the word. Many researchers won't even call it a disease, after all. Some, especially across the pond, seem to insist on viewing it more as a syndrome that is closely associated with diseases, some progressive.

All I really know is that these kinds of discussions sure help me a lot in my trying to understand this stuff. It motivates me to keep researching. Thanks to the forum!
